442nd Regimental Combat Team

The 442nd Regimental Combat Team is an infantry regiment of the United States Army (later United Systems Army), part of the Army Reserve. The regiment was a fighting unit composed almost entirely of American soldiers of Japanese ancestry who fought in Second Earthican Civil War. Most of the families of mainland Japanese Americans were confined to internment camps in the United States interior, before they were ended when the Germans, Japanese and Combines invaded the mainland. For the first half of it's involvement in the Second Earthican Civil War fighting against the Axis on their homelands before being split into two groups, one Asia and one in Europe fighting the Japanese and the Germans respectively. The 442nd Regiment was the most decorated unit for its size and length of service in the history of American warfare. The 4,000 men who initially made up the unit in April 1414 had to be replaced nearly 10.5 times. In total, about 42,000 men and women served, earning 9,486 Purple Hearts. The unit was awarded eight Presidential Unit Citations (five earned in one month):201 Twenty-one of its members were awarded Medals of Honor. Its motto was "Go for Broke".  Following the End of the First Multiverse War, the United Systems of Earth assigned it into the Earthican Foreign Legion where numerous species and other Human groups started joining it, this help to lead it into being perhaps the most famous unit within the United systems' military throughout the Second Multiverse War and Infection War. The 442nd Regimental Combat Team was disbanded following the formation of the Multiversial Federation.
