Alliance of Nations

the Alliance of Nations, later known as the Alliance of Civilizations, later known as the United Civilizations better known as the Allies and the Multiversal Freedom Fighters was formed in 1415 NE by the Galactic Republic, the New Galactic Republic, the United States of America, the United Kingdom (Pol), Federation of Sovereign Worlds, United Federation of Planets and the Human-Vortigaunt Federation from different universes when the Empire of the Combine Race began invading their worlds to expand their empire until those worlds they enslaved started to rebel and and fought back to regain their freedom, it was until the Combine formed alliances with their enemies to create the Axis of Empires based on the name from Pol Earth's second civil war. As the war progressed over the decades and new universes and worlds discovered, many civilizations either feared of being targeted or threatened joined the Alliance in the mutual goal of fighting the the enemies who had united alongside the Combine from conquer and exterminate all known civilizations across the multiverse They were soon allied with the Locust Horde, the Coalition of Ordered Governments, the Germanican Empire, and the Galactic Alliance of Terran States, in which they formed the Alliance Joint Military.

The Alliance that fought against the Axis of Empires throughout the First Multiverse War, but also in other conflicts that occurred and later on the Combine-Chimera Alliance, and in the Second Multiverse War as the Alliance of Civilizations that fought against the Imperialist Alliance and the Pact of Revolutionary Civilizations, then finally as the United Civilizations in the Infection War against William Jäger and his Blacklight army.  

By the end of the Infection War, the United Civilizations ws ultimately reorganised into the Multiversial Federation.

History[]

Formation[]

The alliance of nations was created in 1415 N.E. by the United States of America (Pol), Galactic Republic (Filo), Federation of Sovereign Worlds (Ruu'iio), United Federation of Planets (Duyi'zu) and the Human-Vortiguant Federation (Golmar) with the signing the Treaty of Washington. Soon there after, other organizations and factions quickly joined the Alliance due largely in part to their equal enemies in the Axis of Empires.

First Multiverse War[]

Main article: First Multiverse War

During the first century of the First War, the Alliance fought the Axis in rather largely defensive fronts and supporting local resistance and rebel cells in Axis territories. The Alliance's major members with interstellar technology were forced to support less developed worlds by offering to teach them limited use of technologies for combat against powerful invaders such as the Pol Conflicts with supporting the Pol Earth Allies to liberate their countries from Axis and Horde threats. While many did not agree to hand in advance technologies and interfere, even the United Federation of Planets from the Duyi'zu Universe had to follow the basic interferences they had no choice so long as to support and observe the developments to avoid cultural contamination or destroying themselves.

The Coalition of the Independent States came into existence in 1426 and the resulting defeats the Axis had with this new found power, the Alliance finally started gaining the upper hand and calmed several victories against the Axis and Coalition, however, that was enough to finally turned the tide of the war completely on their side, resulting in several centuries worth of brutal stalemate between the three factions, but, late into the war, with several victories over major factions in the Axis (the most will known being the Great Battle of Endor, which saw the Galactic Empire's slow collapse and eventual status as a Combine puppet state) and as many key victories over the Coalition, the Alliance started to take control of Axis controlled and Coalition controlled territories. When the Combines and Chimera betrayed the Axis and caused it to collapse, the Alliance managed to hold out (which is largely due in part to the Third Human Republic's aid) and even started forcing the Combine-Chimeran Alliance to retreat to their home universes, which they then processed to invaded the two Empires, causing the Chimera to commit species-wide suicide and the Combines to hold out for eight long and bloody years until it finally surrendered with the death of it's emperor in 2372 NE. However, the war did not end until the Coalition and Alliance signed a peace treaty in 2373, effectively ending the gruesome conflict at long last. The Alliance emerged as the victors, so to speak, of the First Multiverse War and as the biggest of the two Multiversal superpowers.

Mini-Wars of the post war era[]

During the post era many Universes have been found mostly by either Alliance of Nations, then renamed the United Civilisations and or the Coalition of Independent States, most of the civilisations in these universes either joined either the Alliance or the Coalition, however, other's stayed neutral or even created their own interuniversial organisation with other like minded civilisations. But the post war era was not peaceful, with conflicts between remnants of the former Axis factions, Combines and even a few independent factions lead to numerous and bitter conflicts. To make matters worse, tensions between the Alliance and Coalition worsen more and more until it finally broke out into full scale conflict.

The Chaos Wars[]

Tensions between the Alliance and Coalition finally hit an all time low when the Coalition started outright attacking the Alliance, kickstarting the Chaos Wars, as the two superpowers quickly started fighting each other in a bitter conflict that devastated many universes, most of which were just recently been discovered. Ironically, this conflict actually prolonged the Second War's start as well as planting the seeds for the Coalition's own civil war early into the Second War's start.

The Alliance itself[]

in many way, the Alliance is a mix between a Alliance and a Confederacy, given how much Autonomy that the member have, with a (almost) Democratic system of Government with a Parliamentary System in place, with each member sending in their own ambassadors to represent each respect civilization within the Allied Assembly, though, not elected into the position, but rather chosen to by their governments, that is until 2381 when the Allied Assembly passed a law stating that the Ambassadors must now be elected into the position by the Civilization's Population, but over the years, the Alliance became increasingly more Federalized, by the time the United Civilizations came to be, the Alliance became a "Federation all but in name"

Technology[]

Alliance of nations technology is the most technological advance's in the multiverse, giving with the combined resources and advancements in scientific achievements since the First Multiverse War, one of their most notable achievements is the Kleiner-Freeman-Vance Drive Systems, the invention of Isaac Kleiner, Gordon Freeman, and Eli Vance within weeks or days depend on the designs during the early stages.

  • While it did start off as a Political, Economic, and Military Alliance, it slowly became more and more centralized with time, becoming a confederacy of various states to a federation in all but name, creating laws and decisions that affect the entire alliance and enforced by its' centralized armed forces.
  • The Economy of the Alliance is quite diverse but over time has become what is considered "post-capitalist" though calling the Alliance's economic system that is nowhere close to accurate but suffice to say the amount resources and worlds it controls allows it to have post-scarcity economy in some way, slowly having all but entertainment, financial, technology, and service industries all but effectively nationalized purely due to how meaningless they are in a state with limitless resources of all kinds.
  • Thanks in no small part to the UFP, HVF, and a handful of other states, the Alliance have since adopted a universal basic income system for all of its' citizens, giving out a monthly payment of 12,500 Elysians for a yearly income of 150,000 Elysians, this amount is largely due to how automated the Alliance's economy is along with certain jobs simply no longer existing, additionally, the Alliance overall places heavy importance on a individual's happiness in the field they set out to do over having to work jobs they despise purely because they need the pay. However people still can and do work, but frequently its' due to loving their occupation and or are happiest when they can keep themselves busy regardless of pay (though laws still enforce payrate for all workers).
  • Another thing that the UFP pushed for and got Alliance wide is for all citizens living situations to be provided to by the Alliance government, basically, rent no longer exist in the Alliance, that's ontop of other living expenses now fully government provided then private.
  • However, some states within the Alliance do go against these policies, albeit no enough to challenge them and far more subtle, and their reasons vary from one another but frequently its' the states that fall onto the Alliance's political right.
