Arleigh Morningstar-Scott, or Arleigh Scott, also known by her nickname, the "Crimson Hawk," is a female Human-Demon hybrid and the eldest daughter of Ekene Scott and the former princess of Haei'tuusik Hell Charlie Morningstar. Born in 2039 Haei'tuusik (2439 NE), six years after her parents got married and four years after her older brother D'Arcy Morningstar-Scott was born, she was raised in Haei'tuusik Hell for much of her life along with her growing number of siblings, frequently being taken to his mother's Happy Hotel to observe her line of work and interact with the Sinner Demons that resides there, although she personally preferred to study history with her father and listen to stories he remembers his great-grandfather and grandmother told him as she took greater interest in that, but still enjoyed her days at the Happy Hotel.

Upon turning 18 in 2057 Haei'tuusik (2457 NE), Arleigh left Haei'tuusik Hell and travelled abroad, studying combat arts across many universes and honing her skills, eventually becoming a duelist of remarkable skill. Years later, she travelled to her father's home universe to attend the University of White Forest college, graduating with a major in history. By the time she completed her education and travels in 2070 Haei'tuusik (2470 NE), the Chaos Wars had broken out between the Alliance of Civilizations and the Coalition of Independent States, the Alliance's primary astropolitical rival in the 84 year long cold war. With many of her siblings, including D'Arcy, already fighting in the war, Arleigh joined the Alliance Joint Military as a frontline soldier to stop the fighting ravaging the multiverse.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Chaos Wars[]

By the time she completed her education and travels in 2070 Haei'tuusik (2470 NE), the Chaos Wars had broken out between the Alliance of Civilizations and the Coalition of Independent States, the Alliance's primary astropolitical rival in the 84 yearlong cold war. With many of her siblings, including D'Arcy, already fighting in the war, Arleigh joined the Alliance Joint Military as a frontline soldier to stop the fighting ravaging the multiverse.

With her family name preceding her, Alreigh found it easier to climb the ranks of the Joint Military to the position of Lieutenant Commander. Her superior fighting skills and agility granted by the years of training and her hybrid blood earned her the respect of many others in the Alliance. She proved her effectiveness in true battle in 2501 NE during the Battle of New Marathon against Coalition forces, emerging victorious over her enemies and earning her a reputation and the nickname "Crimson Hawk."

Despite the number of her siblings serving in the war, she rarely saw any of them, although given the size and scale of the war, she did not expect to run into them anyway, but continued to build relationships across the Alliance alongside her growing reputation.

Second Multiverse War[]

Though initially planning to return home after the conclusion of the Chaos Wars, the Allied Civil War was raging at the time, and Arleigh again found herself thrust into war against the same enemies she fought in the Chaos Wars, and the results played out the same, with the Alliance victorious once again.

Infection War[]

After over 600 years away from her home universe fighting for the Alliance, Arleigh finally returned home for much-needed rest in 3147 NE. There she enjoyed several decades of long-awaited reunions with her family members, and recounting the many battles she'd seen to her mother and father. Though the peace would not last, and on Christmas morning of 3192 NE, the Great Pandemic broke out across the Multiverse once more into chaos, and Arleigh threw herself back into battle for the Alliance, now named the United Civilizations.

During the war in 3425 NE, Arleigh was infected with the Black Rage Virus, which became evident to her fellow soldiers through her unusual levels of paranoia and sudden aggravation bursts. To prevent completely losing her to the virus, she was rushed to her brother, D'Arcy, who was forced to amputate her left arm, where she had been bitten, to save her. During the transport, she attempted to violently lash out at her team and her brother, forcing her to be restrained, but not before killing two of her men in her panic.

Fortunately, the amputation saved her life, but as Arleigh was completely aware during the procedure, the experience caused extreme pain. Her left arm was replaced with a flexi-fiber prosthetic before being regenerated six months later on the hospital ship UAOS Miracle Worker of the United Alliances of Orion Species. After the realization of her actions and what had happened to her set in, she began pulling away from her fellow soldiers and return to her home universe once again to mentally recover in a familiar environment. She remained there for the rest of the war, claiming it was for "keeping her home universe safe," but in reality, she feared the possibility of being reinfected.

Soldier of the Federation[]

Still in recovery by war's end, Arleigh was shocked to learn the United Civilizations had been dissolved and reorganized into the Multiversial Federation, even more so that all the member governments of the UC, including the Earth Triumvirate, the government of her home universe, had been dissolved, their assets reorganized into the Federation's singular body.

Upset with the new methods of multiversal governance, but not enough to fight the Federation over it, Arleigh, with some convincing from family, reojoined the military, though this time it had become the newly created Federal Armed Forces' Army. Much to her pleasure, the Armed Forces still operated much like the former Alliance Joint Military, with the individual militaries of the UC's members simply demoted to sub-branches of the Armed Forces, but little changed in the diversity and organization of the individual armies.

There, she was reunited with many of her old friends but was still cautious to interact with them. She ended up fighting in the Nationalist Wars and Corporation Wars, though in limited periods and in relatively unremarkable battles compared to her service in the Chaos Wars and the Second War.

Third Multiverse War[]

There was no period of rest for her after the wars. On April 9th, 4004 NE, the same day that the Nationalist Wars ended, the Third Multiverse War broke out, with the Federation in full-blown conflict with the recently emerging TransRace Empire. Assisting the Alliance over the centuries in the location and destruction of the Second Grim Reaper, she ultimately sat out the final fight of the war, the Battle of Gallifrey, due to injuries sustained days earlier.

Delta Sword Conflict[]

As the years passed in the Federation's latest war, the Delta Sword Conflict, Arleigh became slowly straying away from serving in frontline battlefield units, instead operating with and against small groups in minor isolated conflicts, though still had great impacts on the war, assassinating leadership, stalling operations, and thwarting attempts made by Delta Sword special operations strike teams. Still, she would occasionally serve in frontline conflicts and was happy when the news broke of then president Meredith Sims arrest, and later sentenced to death by a Federal military tribunal and her execution in 5205 NE.

Multiverse Civil War[]

Arleigh had returned to travelling abroad by the start of the Multiverse Civil War, and that prevented her capture or execution by Empire of Eternity forces during the early massacres of heroes across the multiverse. Still, she found herself the target of several assassination teams, barely surviving several of them. She would often take part in vicious battle against the Empire, surrounded by a wall of fire in brutal fighting. After a battle, soldier would often say they found her unconscious, surrounded by a field of charred and bloodied bodies. Ultimately, she survived the war, though many of her friends did not.

Personality and Traits[]

Powers and Abilities[]

Duelist Skills[]

In battle, Arleigh wields a single short silver staff forged from extremely durable metals. The tips of the staff are sharp enough to stab through most armor, and the metal is lightweight, making it easy for fast and powerful strikes. Having honed her dueling skills over thousands of years, Arleigh is a master fighter, almost impossible to defeat for normal individuals, and a difficult warrior to face for even the most skilled warriors across the multiverse. Her demon blood grants her extreme resistance to pain as well as speed and endurance.

Armor[]

During her service in the Alliance, Arleigh wore shining blue armor masterfully crafted by Allied engineers for speed, mobility, protection, and appearance. The armor had the star of the Earth Triumvirate painted on the shoulder plates and in the center of the chestplate. Following the formation of the Multiversial Federation and the Triumvirate's subsequent dissolution, she repainted her armor a ruby red color to match the nickname she had gained during the Chaos Wars, the "Crimson Hawk," and removed the Triumvirate logos from her armor.
