Aultcray Melromarc XXXII (Zaat'uiiko)

Aultcray Melromarc XXXII, born Lüge Lansarz Faubrey and later known as Trash is a human king of the Kingdom of Melromarc from the Zaat'uiiko Universe, he is the husband of Queen Mirellia Q. Melromarc who according to tradition is the real power behind the throne. He and his wife have two daughters: Malty and her younger sister Melty.

Aultcray was the one responsible for summoning the Cardinal Heroes to defend his country from the Waves of Calamity. Initially perceived as a kindly old gentleman, the King, like many of the citizens in Melromarc, is in-fact a human supremacist and holds a deep hatred for the Shield Hero, Naofumi Iwatani. Unlike most of his people, however, Aultcray is not motivated by religious reasons but the experiences of his early life.

Due to this personal vendetta, the King set out to make the newly chosen Shield Hero's life as difficult and miserable as possible, hoping that Naofumi would either eventually die or be killed off during the Waves. However, his hopes were foiled by the intervention of the Aeden Union and the Peacekeepers who made Naofumi an binary member of the Union and full support. Despite his queen’s hopes, he would go so far as to despise the Union, not just for the majority as non-human, but accuse them as loyal to the ‘Devil of the Shield’. This led to the king to become one of the unwitting pawns of The Fallen and the The Vanquisher to take advantage of the former hero to use his hate against the Shield Hero and turn the heroes against one another in the times of crisis in hopes of plunging his world into chaos at the time of crisis.

Biography

In the past he originally came from the country of Faubrey until a war broke out with between Melromarc and Siltvelt, he and his blind sister were the only survivors of their family's attack and joined in hatred of the Demi-Human race, as well as the Hero of the Shield they worship, becoming the Spear Hero during the war and eventually married the queen Mirellia Q Melromarc. HE was regarded as a great strategist and a hero to the countries, becoming a father of two daughters: Malty and Melty, however he spoiled his eldest daughter rotten, letting her get away with almost anything

Waves of Calamity

In the year 2432 NE. with the worlds of his reality affected by the Waves of Calamity and his wife off to diplomatic trip to the countries, she left her right-hand man in charge; however, he was later killed by the Church of the Three Heroes. Because all the political power was transferred to the king, Aultcray did not bother investigating the incident as he, and his daughter Malty, began to abuse their new founded political power during Mirellia's absence. The situation gets so bad that by the time when the waves start he decides, on his own and without any backing from the queen or the other countries, to summon the four heroes. He also failed to protect the Demi-human village until hey were saved and protected by a new nation appearing called the Aeden Union, unable to know of what country they hailed from but quickly learned it was run by various races including humans and Demi-Humans much to his annoyance and flat out refuse their invitation (unaware of the time of their spies infiltrating his nation and the castle with the queen's permission)

He was ignorant of the current Shield Hero at first. Later, He went out of his way to make more vexation for Naofumi along with the Church of the Three Heroes. He then acts out his petty hatred for the Hero of the Shield by helping his daughter (with or without) knowing of Malty framing the newly summoned and naïve Naofumi of attempting to rape the latter and let her steal all his possessions, tbut his plan was foiled by outside intervention and no sign of Naufumi in the city, it was confirmed later on that he was now working with the Aeden Union, going so far as to demand them to hand the Shield hero back to face the 'charges' against him. His plans did not go as he had hoped when they presented strong evidence to clear his name a little, filled with rage he even claim the Aeden Union were siding with the Shield of the Devil and believed they were summoned by him but could do nothing with the Union have connections with the queen and knowing she would not be happy of his work.

Rigged Duel

After the wave being subjugated by the heroes, he arranged a banquet for them, reluctantly inviting the Aeden Union ambassadors and also this Alliance of Civilisations because of the non-human members. Thinking of perhaps trying to gain their support but oblivious to their standards. When Motoyasu challenged Naofumi to a duel, for Raphtalia's 'freedom' in believe she was a slave (which in truth was a free citizen). He tried to take one of Naomi's support, away from him in a rigged duel by forcing him to the duel with the spear hero, in spite of the fact his country permits slavery and is dependent upon it however the Alliance and the Union ambassadors greatly disapprove of this and made certain the duel was fare by allowing another to fight alongside Naofumi if he wishes. IN reluctance form being made himself a fool more after the 'trial' to the two forces who say that she is an protected citizen and volunteered officer of the Union, would cause a national incident for his country and knowing that the other kingdoms were eager to start a war he could not afford. Despite declaring Motoyasu the winner, the members from he Alliance gave negative response when it was clear to them that it was rigged and made him and the nobles look bad, calling off their attempts to make trade relations of their resources to his country. He failed to convince the other two heroes of the 'victory'.

With word of more heroes with greater powers and work well, he feared the Cardinal Heroes won't support his kingdom with word of heroic deeds by the Shield Hero and his allies, he sought the Church for aide to stop them.

Meeting with the Alliance

In a meeting with the ambassadors over how to deal with the waves and how to solve the issues when told of some tears in his reality that puzzled him by their words, when suggested of using the Cardinal Heroes to bring and train them properly and study the weapons of their connection to the waves to cancel, he refused their offer and so far to refuse their help as long a they continue to have the 'Shield Devil' in their domains while also believe they would try to take the cardinal weapons for themselves. He was questioned by the annoyed Captain America, a member of a team called the Avengers over why he has such hatred towards Naufumi over something he never done to him despite having his name cleared and made the princess look like a criminal. Aultcray simply stated that the Shield Hero is a 'god' to Siltvelt, refused to give a simple answer for his personal hate and said he will turn against them, but his prejudice to the non-human members made them all the reason not to trust him and while secretly in meetings with the queen. Believing their claims to be farce of gaining support from the queen as lies to intimidate him.

His abused in authority more by preventing Naofumi's party and allies from getting a Class Ups, but this didn't stop them from doing their own upgrades elsewhere or the training he was given. The culmination of all his horrible decisions leaves the kingdom in a political minefield with their neighboring nations and even causes a level of internal strife when they learned he has the heroes to himself and leaving the rest to fend for themselves or lean towards the Alliance for protecting from the Waves.

Provoking to War

"You really expect me to do as you say after everything you put me through, and tell you all about the Alliance and their heroes? Yeah right! Besides, if I'm the so-called Devil, I must be a saint compered to what's really beyond this world."

During the next wave with news of Naofumi and the Alliance were victoriously, Naofumi was summoned to the court where Aultcray's annoyance was clear. he demanded to know the source of Naofumi's strength and also the secrets of the Alliance's heroes power, hoping to at least exploit them to gain an advantage for the Cardinal Heroes. His response from the Shield Hero was mocked and threatened by Naofumi after what he did in the past and expected to comply, ignoring his words of things far worse than the Wave of Calamity and believed to be more lies to intimidate him. Naofumi also demanded Aultcray to beg him for any other request in front of the holograms of the high ranked officers. Naufumi mocked him that if he was a 'devil' to others in the country, he be considered a saint.

He did almost exactly what the Church of the Three Heroes and the Vanquisher wanted, without doubting their conspiracy even a little. His second daughter was mentioned to be supposedly kidnapped by the Shield Hero and the Alliance when in fact she was intended to meet with them. So, he orders a bounty on Naofumi's head and sent the other heroes to capture the Shield Hero and to rescue Melty. To the shock of the majority of the country, he even went so far as to declare war against the Aeden Union and invade the controlled territories for their support of the 'Devil', not knowing that it would be a disastrous one-sided battle, gaining nothing but doubts from the Nobles of his intentions and rational thinking.

As Aultcray called forth his supporters, he received mixed reactions upon those who were still loyal to the Queen and assumed his plan was madness to go to war with the Alliance who managed to help calm the neighbouring nations from going to war by his actions and as well as the Waves of Calamity, while the supporters saw this as an opportunity to show the Alliance their strength and perhaps gain 'spoils of war'. The king consort brushed aside their critics while gaining favour of his two supporters who managed to sway him into ordering the invasion to 'save' his daughter and called forth the three Cardinal heroes for their aid. In the days that occurred, contact with the Alliance for demand they release his daughter, ignoring their replies that they were not holding her hostage and she was sent by her mother, but he refused to believe them.

Personality

Trash formerly lived up to his name as the wise king of Melromarc. Despite being a Staff Hero, he was known for his formidable intelligence. He was respected by his allies and his enemies alike. By all accounts, he was extremely active and heroic in his earlier days, earning a grand reputation among the kingdoms of the world. All this indicates that, for all his hatred and recklessness, he was at one point a cunning and intelligent person with a hero's renown.

The queen stated that his wisdom earned him great respect and that even now if he was sent to the border, it would cause turmoil among the enemy just by seeing him. Even the Slave Trader claims that the nation Melromarc might have been nothing in the name or in standing among the nations if it wasn't for Trash. Many citizens and nobles still held faith in him until at one point he was ready to send the kingdom in ruin over a war against the Union and the Alliance for his daughter he believed was 'held prisoner'.

Though he came from Faubrey, a country with which no discrimination against any races was tolerated, he hated demi-humans for the death his parents and has a specific kind of hate for the White Tiger (Hakuko) race. This hatred caused him to rush to Melromarc, where he could be as openly hostile to them as possible and aid the kingdom in its war against Siltvelt, the demi-human country. He hated the Shield Hero title because the last one fought a war with Siltvelt, a country that worships the hero. This prejudice towards other races had resulted in massive events of injustice committed to demihuman citizens in Melromarc and given him an irrational hatred to Naofumi for being the Shield Hero, as being worshipped by demihumans. As such Trash unjustly took his hatred out on Naofumi, whom was chosen as the next Shield Hero against his will; even covering up Bitch's lies and stealing Naofumi's original clothes under the claim of "confiscation". This hatred had extended to non-humans as well as noted by the representatives of the Aeden union and the Alliance who upon finding out about his past believe this to be a 'petty excuse' or a man who was blinded by his own hatred.

However, the current generation and the heroes from various worlds doubt others claim of him. Rishia believed her parent's view of Trash, but wonders if his current behavior is a political act. Captain America believed he had let his hatred gain the better of him after going so far as to lash out on Naufumi who had no history with him take the fall for the actions of his predecessor. Even his own second daughter is disgusted with him fawning over her sister and doubted her mother's stories of him. When Trash was revealed to be the renowned Staff hero, Nafoumi burst out laughing hysterically and praised their sense of humor. Nafoumi went as far to ask the queen, whether the real staff hero had died and Trash was a decoy placed in his shoes for obvious political reasons, much to her sadness.

This was also assumed by the Fallen who believed he was nothing but a false hero and took advantage of his hate towards Demi-Humans as an attempt to gain power. The Fallen openly mocked and laughed over how a once great man like him became an imbecile. He was also very gullible when Malty manipulating him by stroking his ego and making Naofumi a target of her mischief and had nearly let Melromarc's monarchy be overthrown by the Church of the Three Heroes in his negligence. not only Malty, but also played by the Vanquisher to provoke a war to enhance its influence.

Points brought up of the faults he had failed to realise: by summoning all four heroes in one place when there was suppose to be one for each country, he'd unwittingly could have started an all out war against the countries his queen had worked so hard to achieve. Provoking Naufumi would have caused him to abandon Melromarc and leave for Siltvelt, but instead left for the Aeden Union and the Alliance for their full support. Even so far as to greatly underestimate the two interstellar powers who hold greater resources and military mights combined when he failed to noticed this, something the Vanquisher made certain in order to instigate a conflict on his world.

Despite all this, he truly loves his family and do anything to protect them, but had dotted his eldest daughter and spoiled her rotten to even cover up her crimes.

"Especially one who's referred to as the King of Fools. As a matter of fact, from the stories I've heard... I'm practically disappointed. As someone who fought in a war, reduced to using only his status to get what he wants and a hate towards someone with no reason at all. You're pathetic."

"As things stand out now, if I or anyone in the Alliance wanted, I could kill you right here and walk straight out of the door, or they could teleport you right in their capital for many crimes you committed. You've seen what the Alliance can do, they could crush your army in a blink of an eye. In case you forget, I'm an official subordinate of the Alliance's military and willing to cooperate because the queen asked, but only until the Waves died down, then I'm going home. So unless its something important, don't even think of calling us here again. Oh and spare me the petty threats, if you think I need the Alliance to back me up, think again. The only reason I'm loyal to them is because they're more honest and don't need dirty tricks to know the full situation of this world, unlike you scumbags."

• The Fallen: Originally believed to be his newest advisor and became his ears, their relations was mixed as despite the insistance of his 'advisor' to not provoke the current shield hero and gaining his trust, Aultcray let his ego and hate get the better of him and ignored 'his' advise and went ahead of his intended plan, thus unintentionally letting the Alliance support Naofumi and damaging Aultcray's reputation. It was then when the hunt for the Shield Hero began and after the Church's agenda was exposed, he realised the 'advisor' was a powerful entity who was using him from the start to make the heroes turn on each other and gain their powers, whilst also going after the Shield hero the most which baffled him.
• The Vanquisher: Another entity that posed as his 'general' who 'supported' his claim to provoke a war with the nations and even the Alliance using the Church and their supporters, not realising until he discovered that the 'genera' and his 'advisor' were entities using him for their own gain and never been on his side, using him from the start to ensure his world would be saved from the Waves.

• Much of his traits is similar to the Anime/manga/Light Novel version, but differs as he has become a target by two Entities: the Fallen and the Vanquisher to take advantage of him to provoke the heroes, the Alliance, and the Union then focus on the Waves.
