Bajor

Bajor was the inhabited eleventh planet of the Bajoran system, Duyi'zu Universe. This system was located in the Bajor sector, a region of space in the Alpha Quadrant in the Duyi'zu Milky Way. This was the largest planet in the system and had five moons, including Derna and Jeraddo. The planet was the homeworld of the Bajorans, a warp capable humanoid species. After decades of Axis rule, the planet regained its independence and became affiliated with the Alliance of Civilizations while also a membership of the United Federation of Planets.

History[]

First official contact with the Cardassian Union took place in (2318), although a small number of traders, such as Kubus Oak were already well known to them. Soon after, many members of the Oralian Way moved to Bajor to seek refuge from the Cardassian Central Command. Over the next decade however, the Central Command's presence and influence on Bajor increased to the point that by 2328, they had become an invasive force, and had occupied the planet as an annexed world of the Union.

Axis Occupation[]

When the Axis invaded the Duyi’zu Universe, a fleet of Imperial combine ships with the support of the Cadarassian Union invaded the Bajoran System, bringing the planet under occupation after their surrender to the Axis. During this time, the Axis forces with the Cardassian allies not only decimated the Bajoran population and destroyed large parts of its infrastructure, but the also poisoned several areas of the planet in order to compromise the food supply after their withdrawal. Affected regions included the Dahkur and Rakantha Provinces as well as the Northwest peninsula. Following the occupation, the Bajoran Provisional Government took steps to revitalize the planet's agricultural sector, such as using special grain processing centers and irrigating the Trilar Peninsula. In 1517 N.E. (2371), the Bajoran Agricultural Ministry developed soil reclamators that could detoxify the soil, but their number was limited, causing quarrels about their usage.

During the decades of occupation, rebels from the Combine Empire infiltrated Bajor and helped the resistance gain a better chance against the Axis, especially the Combine being more aggressive and advance.
