Catherine IV Stuart, also known as Catherine the Sane was a female human hailing from the Malica Universe, she was the 109th monarch of the Terran Empire. She became Queen after her brother, Alexander III the previous monarch, was killed in battle during the Second Terran-Procyon War. Catherine IV ended the invasion of the Procyon Expanse that her predecessor started, ending the Second Terran-Procyon War. However, the conflict between the Terran Empire and Procyon Expanse continued when the Third Terran-Procyon War started roughly 35 years later, this time over the ownership of the McCullough Current (known to the Procyons as 'The Breath of Ratec), a high speed trade and communications route. Queen Catherine IV died during the third conflict from natural causes brought about from her advanced age of 136, and was succeeded by her granddaughter Queen Illysa II.
