The Daeok'hajink Universe is one of the many universes that exist in the Known Multiverse, where its' version of Earth is made up of a multitude of different sentient species and other creatures that bares similarities to myths found in most other Earths, although said creatures are noticeably different from their mythical counterparts despite sharing the same name. Furthermore, the planet is in a medieval technological state divided into numerous kingdoms and other feudalistic states which dominates the geopolitics of the planet. Aside from typical geopolitical tension between the various kingdoms, there's also plenty of underlining issues in regards to the various species interactions with one another, especially in regards to their respected lifespans and biological characteristics, like the longer lived species not viewing the shorter lived species in a manner fall into either condescension or blatant disrespect, although beyond a few examples most of the sentient species do largely get along regardless.
Due to the planet's technological scale and development the Alliance typically observes the planet per their standing policies, however, in 2425 NE reports of Combine Remnant activity on the surface was noted by the Alliance who attempted to interfere with their activities in secret, trying to keep the population's unaware of the development. Not long after they were able to put an end to whatever goal the Remnant scouts were conducting, the same Remnant faction they belonged to, took their sudden silence as the excuse to begin invading the planet in force after wiping out the Alliance forces in the system meant to guard the planet, sparking a four month long battle which saw much of the planet reduced to ruins and untold millions killed by the end of the conflict. As a result of this, the Alliance promptly made first contact with the planet and formally created a protectorate over the system to help them rebuild and advance technologically so they can become a full member state of the Alliance of Civilizations.
History[]
After the Alliance restored the state of the planet while fortunate to not caused too much damage to the ecosystem, they found many subterranean structures known as Dungeions by the natives surprisingly intact and discovered to have their own ecosystems after finding survivors from the battles took refuge inside them. Xenobiologists were drawn to learn more of these creatures and how they adapted to the life in Dungeons across the continent while archeologists believe they were built by the previous civilizations that instead of built on the surface dug underground.

- Unlike canon, this universe's Humans and Elves can produce viable hybrids with one another, however, the reason why the people of that planet assumed otherwise is due to a field similar to the Combine's suppression field, albeit targeted to Human-Elven hybrids for reasons unknown and was promptly turned off by Alliance officials once they discovered the much older ruins that still running the field.
