The Doom Slayer also known as Doom Guy was a Human from an unknown Earth, he was so renown that even demons/daemons were afraid of him. the Doom marine was the first wielder of the BFG-9000 and after killing the dark god Davoth (who was the Doom guy's creator) and was briefly imprisoned in a crypt before escaping to continue his self-imposed mission of scouring the Multiverse of malevolent entities.

History

Awakening

After Doom slayer's universe was invaded by the Combine it quickly fell to them and his crypt was taken by the Combine, they tried prying the crypt open through multiple tests and found that some unseen shield protected the crypt from physical equipment. They managed to briefly prey the crypt open before it shut and destroyed the equipment that opened it and caused a small daemonic infestation of the research site that was quickly contained.

The Praetor suit was recovered as it was in a display case near the crypt. The suit was feid tested and was put into combat trials at Filo Coruscant but an Arc trooper killed the combine solider operating the suit and stole it.

Yiola The cruel lord was getting annoyed at the slow progress of the invasion of Coruscant until he read the report of the Crypt and came with an idea of sending it to Coruscant. The crypt was delivered and pryed open with the equipment from before that caused another small deamonic infestation. It was dumped near the frontlines where the sealed crypt lay among the fighting.

In the middle of the battle Rex Tano was wearing the Praetor suit saw the crypt and tried opening it. Upon placing his hands on the crypt it opened revealing the Doom slayer who was half naked. The Doom slayer gave Rex a very angry look and just said "Give me my armor" before Rex simply helped the doom slayer out of the crypt and had him come back to the front lines.

Rex equipped Arc trooper armor before giving an impatient Doom slayer his Praetor suit and a Cog Saw off shotgun which was at the time the only available reserve weapon that could be spared.

Personality and traits

During his crusade and his interactions with Samuel Hayden, when the latter tries to justify the UAC's actions in Hell as being in the best interests of humanity despite the evident risks and aftermath consequences, the Marine responds by angrily dismantling communication equipment at best, and flat-out destroying key UAC equipment at worst despite Hayden's insistence of not doing so. This makes it clear that the Doom Slayer's motivations and priorities start and end with stopping and killing demons and not for the UAC and their economic interests, and very little for anything else. He does, however, show to be sympathetic to a degree as seen when he made a backup copy of VEGA before destroying it, although this could be attributed to the fact the AI opted to sacrifice itself to aid the Doom Slayer in his quest. As such it can be deduced the Marine can show concern for those who either aid him on his demon-slaying mission or otherwise show the necessary resolve to act for the real greater good.

Also, despite killing the Khan Maykr, the Slayer understands that she did what she did was for the sake of her race, yet his resolve remains untouched. It's clear that the Slayer cares for humanity in some way, as he is willing to sacrifice not only his relations with the Argenta but also destroy the realm of Urdak in order to stop the demonic invasion of Ei'ujik Earth. Despite his war with the demons, he almost never attacks their human allies simply expecting them to get out of his way which they often do. This attitude does not extend to other species or even his allies as he is quick to neutralize them if they would get in his way as seen with his actions directed at The Father and the Seraphim.

The Doom Slayer also appears to be quite intelligent as his original Praetor Suit could be found disassembled in his quarters with numerous parts of it repurposed for his new Praetor Suit.

However, at this point having nearly lost his sanity and ranting about killing demons: "...guts, huge guts! Kill them... must kill them all!". The Slayer used to speak but later chose not to for reasons unknown aside from uttering "guttural hefts of anger" on his enemies

Powers and abilities

Whatever weapon that the Slayer hold in his hands becomes 10 times more powerful allowing any weapon he weilds to hurt deamoms of any calibre. However, even with this increase some Deamons are still quite tanky, for example pistols get the least amount of increase but can begin to start hurting deamons.

Second chance - an instant ressurection on the spot ability that has a cool down and takes some time for the Slayer to regian after some time. It can save from most situations.
