Edward Elric

Edward Elric (B. November 7th, 1409), often referred to as the Fullmetal Alchemist, is a Human native to Ain'uikni Earth. Born and raised in the nationstate Arestris, who lost his right arm and left leg due to a failed Human Transmutation attempt, Ed became the youngest State Alchemist in the history of Amestris by achieving his certification at age twelve in 1421. Three years later, in 1424, Ed has become fully engrossed in his search for the legendary Philosopher's Stone, an item with which he hopes to restore his younger brother Alphonse - whose whole body had been lost in the aftermath of the human transmutation. He successes in this attempt and brought back his lost limbs and his brother's body, unfortunately, around the time they did this, Ain'uikni's status as a neutral zone collapsed and their world became another front in the ongoing First Multiverse War.
