Ekkehardt Hertz is a male human from the Malica Universe and the youngest child and only son of the first set of two United Commonwealths of Worlds soldiers, a mage and a common enlisted soldier, who served in the latter centuries of the First Multiverse War and continued to serve the Commonwealths in the first twenty five years after its' end before retiring and settling back in Malica. Yet out of all the daughters his parents had up to that point he and his older twin sister, Grímhildr Hertz, were the only members of the family to show signs of magical abilities, leading to their mother to take them on in training in the basics before finding a teacher for both of them, where upon he quickly proved proficient in gravity, time, and magnet magics, while his sister shown signs of proficiency in lightening, reflect, and healing magics.
But aside from his mage status, his life growing up was no different from the rest of kids found in the Commonwealths, attending school and living in a medium sized town of over 500 thousand sentients and living in a happy and warm family home. At the age of 12, 1182 AXC (2416 NE), Ekkehardt became fascinated with astrophysics, part of which stemmed from his continued training in magic but most of it was born from genuine love of the science of stellar physics. Throughout his highschool years from 1184 to 1188 AXC (2418 to 2422 NE), much of his focus was on science and math, earning high grades for them but average ages for other subjects. When he graduated from highschool, he started to look for a college to go to so he can earn a degree in astrophysics.
While his parents questioned him why he picked Haei'tuusik's version of California Institute of Technology, they supported his decision and helped him find a apartment he could rent while attending CIT. His reason for going to the Haei'tuusik Universe in the first place was entirely due to him wanting to explore the Multiverse a bit and the nature of Haei'tuusik Earth sounded interested to him. While there, he meet a Plainsborn Haei'tuusik Demon named Octavia Buckzo-Goetia and the two began to strike up a conversation which eventually turned into a good friendship as their shared interest in astrophysics being what started it all. In two years, Ekkehardt and Octavia became best friends who were rarely, not if ever, seen apart from another, though they both had differenting interest but they still regard each other highly. At somepoint during this two years of growing friendship that Ekkehardt began to suspect his feelings for the Plainsborn demon are not entirely platonic but he was still caught off guard when she asked him out in 2025 Haei'tuusik (2425 NE), readily agreeing to it.
For the reminder of their time in college, him a masters and her a doctorate, they were committed and loving couple, owning to the fact that the two were friends beforehand. But when he graduated from CIT with a masters degree in Astrophysics in 2028 Haei'tuusik (2428 NE) he informed Octavia he intends to wait for her to complete her doctorate so he can marry her, a promise he kept when she graduated with honors in 2030 Haei'tuusik (2430 NE), although Octavia beat him to it by proposing to him instead, and in modest ceremony attended by their family and closest friends, the two became husband and wife, although professionally Octavia kept her surname but their children all bore his name, and have been quite happy and fruitful ever since having over 80 children in total so far.
