Federation Balkanization

The Federation Balkanization otherwise known as the break up of the Federation was the name that was given to a crisis that struck the Federation Government shortly after the Second time that the multiverse burned and it was largely called this due to long though gone nationalists sentiments resurfacing in a series of violent revolts and uprisings.

History

Aftermath of the Kherhan Offensive

Following the Kherhan offensive the Federation was against the wall again, much like what happened during the Multiverse Civil War but much worse. With the fall of the Duyi'zu the government had to move it’s capital to Elysium City temporarily but this was the least of the problems the Federation Army was devastated and nearly 2.37 trillion soldiers were killed and they were only a sixteenth part of the casualties in the Kherhan offensive, most of their equipment was left behind to be used against them If the new order wanted, Decillions of soldiers and militias fighter that among them were the most valuable heroes of the federation were taken prisoner and during the evacuation around 60 billion planet-side vehicles, starships and starfighers were destroyed and they could no longer launch an attack nor to the New Order and neither to the Multiversial Dictatorship.

Government Crisis

With more then half of the Military defecting to the fascist New Order, and with it the fall of a third of the Federation in the process, the Federal Government was already thrown into chaos which is only compounded by the loss of the majority of the three branches of government, the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary. Worse yet, the New Order took advantage of it and used this crisis to inflame largely abandoned Nationalist sentiments and other equally xenophobic beliefs be it racism or speciesism. which is further inflamed by the New Order supporting and arming violent uprising across the federation. The objective of this is that instead of fighting a massive conjoined force to fight various small factions in order to increase their advance.

Military Rule

With the Civilian Government in crisis, the Military Tribunal effectively took control and enacted a Federation wide marital law in order to stop the bleeding and chaos and focus on the real enemy, the New Order. But the military government faced even more hostility and pushback by a number of civilian groups and syndicates, including many heroes who believed that the Tribunal was being too extreme in their reaction, although it did not like this development, did not try and stop them so long as they did not espouse nationalist sentiments which it find to aid the New Order in further weakening the Federation already in the middle of a crisis from the Civil War decades earlier.

Balkanization Start

With the Military taking control of the country it started to apply various policies like martial law and the persecution of anyone that stepped out of line, but this was becoming extremely difficult as a measure to combat the new order during the Kherhan Offensive with the government being unable to fight of the New Order after the fall of Duyi'zu it had left it’s job on the local militias and the various separatist groups but this groups although they gave them a chance to fight off the New Order something that the Military didn’t like as it could cause a domino effect and further increase the nationalistic sentiments that started to repress in their own territories, however it’s response make the general public to divert their eyes from the Federation to the Naorath Multiverse that while it had a more primitive and disunified philosophy it was much more stable than the chaos that had becomed the known Multiverse so many people started to see that perhaps the idea of ‘borders, but with a chance to cross it’ started to become more popular to the point And after Alpha Zol announced that as a measure to keep it’s population safe announced it’s secession from the Multiversial Federation and seek membership with the Independent Nation Council, although this was meet with a massive wave of protest from the still Federalist population not unlike the Confederacy of various Earths during the First American Civil War, following this event large chunks of Federation started to break up mostly because they wanted to further out from the New Order, while some wanted to remain neutral others were accepted into the Independent Nation Council this further alented the nationalist sentiments that were already feeded upon by when the Pol Universe Defense Union’s victory during the New Pol Seccession War and this led to various universes breaking off and in a matter of time the most war-torn universes started dot recover thanks to the council’s aid however this didn’t lasted for long until the aperture of the Pol Front by the Multiversial Dictatorship.
