The Fialer Universe is a universe of which this version of Earth was still recovering from a devastating third world war (called the Great War by its' people) that turned nuclear in its' year of 2077 (1265 NE) destroying much of the planet in the process and either slowly starved the unaffected in the months after, as is the case in the largely unaffected southern hemisphere, or killed millions due to a combination of disease, starvation, or fighting, as was frequently the case with much of the northern hemisphere, leaving in its' way entirely new nations, tribes, and groups on Fialer Earth as well as plenty of remnants of the fallen states that once existed.
In the early days of the First War where it was discovered by the Empire of the Combine Race in Fialer year 2278 (1466 NE) which promptly invaded and conquering the entirety of the still broken world in under two hours and thoroughly defeating all the post-war factions that emerged in the two centuries since the Great War, and predictably shattering them in turn, allowing the Combine to set up a occupation force meant to terraformed, or valiaformed, Fialer Earth into a world more preferred by the Pure Combines. However, resistance against the occupation still occurred and largely formed from the remnants of the states that once existed, although some of these remnant pre-invasion factions, like the Enclave and Caesar's Legion, were made into forced collaborators of the occupying Combine force, and were largely given free reign over certain areas of the planet, though now with a permeant overseer to ensure they stay in line.
The Alliance, however, caught on to the Combine invasion and conquest of the Fialer universe and started a bitter decades long campaign to help free it from their rule. This effort eventually cumulated in the liberation of Fialer Earth in 2327 (1515 NE), and in turn the creation of the New Earth Republic.
History[]
The timeline of this reality appeared similar until it diverged sometime after the World War II in 1945 (1133 NE), a surprising jolt of technological progress and the use of atomics.
Combine Occupation[]
A Combine fleet found its way into the Fialer universe in 2278 (1466 NE) , decided to occupy several planets for the resource needed for the Multiverse War, their scouts easily found the sol system and discovered this version of Earth as a radiated wasteland by a war 200 years prior to their arrival. Their surperior forces and technology gave them the advantage to easily take over the planet, crushing the factions and forced the inhabitants into submitting to their dominion. Although hardly saw any use, yet the old technology and weapons they considered useful to give to the members of the Axis of Empires.
There were some human occupants hidden in underground vaults, some made a pact to not meddle in their affairs and keep the humans inside, or at least work in secret for survival and 'promise' of restoring Fialer Earth, however, the Combine had no intention of doing so but to take the resources needed. There have been some surviving remnants forced into collaborating and became resistance fighters such as the Enclave, the Caesar's Legion, and the Brotherhood of Steel made careful strategies of guerilla attacks and raid some weak combine ships to take back the bases and study them.

Notable Differences[]
- When the Combine discovered (and conquered) Fialer Earth, Fallout 3's plot was still ongoing, though the NCR and Legion already fought for control over Hoover Dam, meaning that Fallout 3 only had half of its' story being closer to canon before shifting dramatically halfway through while New Vegas and Fallout 4 are completely diverge entirely due to the length of time, that said, Fallout 1 and 2 (including by extent, Tactics) still follows their canon stories due to how far back in time they occurred in.
