Sakkra2016

The Sakkra were a reptilian race from the Cut'jini Universe, originated from the planet Sssla. Since they hatched from eggs, their populations grew fast, so they were always looking for new planets to colonize. Ground troops could easily be developed from this high population. Sakkra leaders were fairly aggressive and expansionistic. Planetology was their tech specialty, which aided in developing new planets for their people. The Sakkras joined to the Axis of Empires during the First Multiverse War to rival other saurion-like races such as Voth and the Gorn.

History[]

The Sakkra decided in return for promise of new worlds to conquer, the Hierarch’s Leader announced their government has accepted the offer to join the Axis of Empires in 1424 NE with their enemies joining the Alliance of Nations to protect their frontier worlds. They were reluctant to forge a truce with their rival species such as the Elerians, Meklars, and the feline Mrrshans.

The Axis created twi off-shoot races to serve as slaves and warriors with their genetic engineering technology: the Raas and the Grendari. They sent out their Grendari warriors to fight against a species known as the Voth from the Duyi'zu Universe in the late 14th Century NE

The Sakkra gained news of the Galactic Empire‘s plan to build a battlestation known as the Death Star II, reluctant but belief it would be used to annihilate their enemies for good and used their spared forces to guard the construction using the Raas slaves to speed up the production over the Forest Moon of Endor. When they heard of the disastrous report of the Death Star’s destruction, they were enraged and recieved reports a cross their territories of the Raas Rebellions thst were inspired by the Alliance for their freedom, and the Grendari revolting against their masters, forced to withdraw back to their borders to recover..

The Sakkra were attacked by the Empire of the Combine Race who had turned against their allies, they received many casualties until the Combine were ultimately defeated. With the Axis now dissolved, they blamed the others for this defeat and attacked the Mrrshan and the Meklar with the truce ended.

Culture and Society[]

The Sakkra are widely known to be an aggressive, competitive race that fight to survive on populated planets with little room for formal laws. They are a physically imposing race that are determined to prove themselves as worthy adversaries against any opposition in their home galaxy. The strong are the only ones who survive on Sssla, the Sakkra home world, where there are regular fights to the death in the streets. The only way to stand out in the massive Sakkra population is to show great strength and to defeat any challengers to the victor’s claims.

The Sakkra were known for their hunger to expand and gain territories. They emphasized propulsion and planetology technology and the building of colony ships. They tended to be aggressive in border disputes over recently settled regions, but hold less interest in attacking well-defended worlds.

They are considered to be a bit slow, not very interested in new technology or science, and would rather let someone else do the thinking so they can relax or play.

Religion[]

The Sakkra believe that the Mother-God and Father-God bore the first generation of Sakkra many millions of years ago. These first children formed the oldest tribes which Sakkra still claim as ancestors, yet the Mother and Father were so controlling that the first tribes united under a Hierarch to battle them for control. It is said that the battle lasted three days and when it was over, the gods were dead the Sakkra had united victoriously under their first Hierarch. They are a race which fondly remembers the brutal destruction of their own creators, whoever they were long ago.
