Wraith stunner rifles, also known as Wraith blast rifles[1] or Wraith stun guns, were the primary ranged weapon used by Wraith warriors. The stunner rifle fires an energy pulse which overloads the sensory and motor nervous systems, impeding the firing of neurons that enable movement and perception, thus resulting in temporary paralysis. The residual effects are described as a feeling similar to pins and needles throughout the body. This allows the Wraith to easily capture or feed upon their targets. Though primarily a stunning weapon, they possess a large bayonet on the rear of the weapon if it becomes necessary to kill a target.
