Golmar Mars is a variation of Mars in the Golmar Universe, it was originally a barren world until the Human-Vortigaunt Federation colonised the planet. The second to be colonised after Earth’s Moon, after the terraforming process was complete in the 15th Century NE, a state government was established known as the Martian State Republic governed by humans and Vortigaunts as the dominant species before other races inhabited it,

At the start of the mars colonisation, Mars was politically divided into countries and states to limit control for the time being and shared equally between humans and other races. Political states such as the Xanthe Republic, the Tharsis States, the Sabaea Federation, and the Tyrrhena Republic while they make up as a coalition of governments as part of of the Human-Vortigaunt Federation during it's foundation.
