- The Hunter to Lucifer Morningstar over the nature of the Entities challenge

The Haei'tuusik Hell and Heaven Challenge, also referred to as the Entities Game in Haei'tuusik Universe, and the Redemption Games, was a Entities Game that occurred in 2020 (2420 NE) and lasted for a a period of three months and largely occurred in the connected heaven and hell of Haei'tuusik Earth, although some part of this event did occur on the planet in question. The challenge that the Entities gave both Lucifer Morningstar and God was simple, either reform and redeem hell and its' dozens or have the entire Haei'tuusik Universe be destroyed by the Hunter.

While Lucifer agreed, God did not, and outright attempted to stop Lucifer and his daughter's attempts at creating their redemption program and his own attempts at reorganizing his version of hell, which were all aided by the Entities and their Heralds that took the side of redemption while at the same time were hindered by the Entities and their Heralds who took the side of destruction with the third group of Entities and Heralds serving as either a aid or a hindrance depending upon their mood. For three months this game would go on, with the destruction Entities outright using various creatures, most notably the Hunter's various abominations (typically in the form of the Hunter's Priest and Prophets but other variants do appear by the third week mark) and Doom's variant of demons to hinder the redemption Entities efforts, with God herself sending in her own forces to try and stop them, only to have something of a civil war erupt in her own realm as the Angels become split between those that continue to serve God and those that grew tired of her abuses and tried to overthrow her with her son, Absalom, replacing her as ruler of Heaven, and Charlie Morningstar's half-brother.

By the third month, God was killed by the Hunter, in no small part to the actions of the redemption Entities, Charlie and her companions, Absalom and other forces that would want to see her dead, and Absalom taking the throne of heaven and bring about much needed reforms and peace between Haei'tuusik Heaven and Hell, after that the game concluded with the redemption Entities the victors and Haei'tuusik Universe continued existence with Hell reformed into something different, serving as a realm where one's vices are allowed but not those that directly harms others and Charlie's redemption program now fully underway.

But to call this event a "game" is putting it mildly, in fact its' more akin to a war between the three groups of Entities, as a number of people have died in this game, most notably Haei'tuusik's God, The Preservers' herald, Shen and possibly The Brawler’s herald Rukahn Khrayf in their duel. God herself was killed by the Hunter but her downfall was, in large part, due to the actions of the redemption Entities and their allies over the course of two and a half months, while Shen was killed by Rukahn Khrayf, the Herald of the Brawler, trying to protect his allies from the rampage of the Herald of the Brawler. But the one thing that became apparent was that the redemption that Charlie desired to implicate in Haei'tuusik Hell was in fact, a method to get the reborn humans of Haei'tuusik Earth to accept their deaths and pass on into oblivion, which was exactly happened to her first resident, Anthony, that said, the Great Judge had decided to undo the late God's efforts at preventing most souls from ascending after seeing many fought for others to allow them to ascend to Heaven in the hopes of binding the three realms closer. Regardless, it was not quite a war that most people in the multiverse would know of, but it certainly gave the taste of what to come for the people of Haei'tuusik.

Notes[]

  • While the efforts of the Entities vary from Entity to Entity, they certainly use their abilities and powers enough to seriously terrify the inhabitants of Haei'tuusik's Hell, Heaven and Earth.
  • A handful of Entities, specifically the Nightmare, acts more like a sort of "tool" that either side could manipulate and point towards either group to serve as a distraction so either group could continue their particular plan unabated.
  • Some of the Entities do use their own forces and creation to aid them in their goals, most notable of which are the Hunter, the Outsider, the Planter, and the Constructor.
  • Some of the Entities Heralds, most notably Yiloala, have their own groups that aligned with them and helped them in the challenge.
    • Some of Yiloala's surviving servants from his old empire helped him in the challenge, of which his personal mad scientist and his loyal servant were among the few that took part in the challenge, though most of them were apart of the Emperor's Occult in some way.
