The Heavy mech was designed to be a large defensive fortress aimed at supporting Foloian armies in the First Folo earthican civil war. It was much more bigger to the Folo Medium mechs and carried more weapons and stronger armour. These large stable heavy weapon platforms served as a large anti-infantry support vechicle against other mechs and could also shelter infantry beneath them from incoming artillery fire. They were one of few Folo mechs that could stand against a Folo Earth Titan to a degree.

The Heavy mech had no dedicated anti mech armament and was made in design to be a large walking bunker able to withstand heavy shelling. Future modifications included Heavy falmethrowers within the heavy mech's design and its construction was considered robust. It was far bigger than the Medium mech which it generally outclassed. However, thanks to no offical anti mech armamanet other than the nose cannon, several medium mech battallions could eaisly bring down a Heavy mech.
The Heavy mech was a slow mech but much more faster than the land ship and seige mech. It was usually found within infantry divisions. A brigade usally saw 3 heavy mechs in each within a battalion of 6 squads.
The heavy mech first saw combat at Verdun in 1917 on Folo earth and helped the German Empire smash through fortresses and sent the Allies into dissarray unitl the Medium mechs arrived. The first mech on mech engagement happened at Folo Verdun and ended in an Entente victory with a heavy damaged heavy mech limping home, although the Medium mechs suffered heavy losses. It was virtually impossible for a heavy mech to get stuck in mud for a long period of time. in fact thanks to the small surface area of the feet, they usually struck into the earth before removing. The heavy mech did have some mechanical faults, especially to its leg joints which saw a lot of maintiance thanks to the weight and stress of the mech.
Outside of Folo the heavy mech did see quite a considered use outside its home universe with the Adeptus mechanicus taking a large intrest into the vechicle. The Vanguard Titan was later made an Imperium of man itteration. The heavy mech was actually quite simple to make even for the Imperium and was able to mass produce it in large waves akin to their Leman Russ battle tanks. These versions of the heavy mech carried heavy bolt guns and a hugue las cannon nose gun under the heavy mech. Its speed was surpisingly quick and the Space Marine chapters recieved several command heavy mech alterations.
The Heavy mech also became a mobile HQ at times in Folo Earth and outside of it. The Republic decided to make a heavy artillery gun using the chasis of the heavy mech with the standard Folo heavy and medium mechs in support. This heavy mech earned the nickanme HAM (Heavy Artillery Mech ), a nickname that was quite joked around a few times in the Clone army.
Although the heavy mech did have several issues. One it was a heavy resources taking mech that suffered against armoured opponents, although it could take down a Folo Medium mech it had not been in mind to combat such a adversary. Secondly because of its large weight most bridges couldnt even hope to withstand its weight, although Folo Earth bridges had been heavily modified with mechs in mind.
