Hester

Hester was one of the Thirteen Warlords, a general who served the Empire of the Heartless, known by many as the Witch of the Dark Waters, using magic and shadows to lead the Heartless Empire to attack the Malican Worlds after joining the Axis of Empires after the Malican War.

She was leading her armies under the orders of the Empire to launch a full scale attack on the Kingdom of Atlantica until the surprising intervention of wielders of the Keyblad: Sora Yujo, Kairi Kettei, and Riku Yami. Unable to believe they were actually the trio after many centuries of absence and fought them until she was defeated, making her escape to alert the Emperor and Empress of what has happened. Making her return to the throne room to give her report, surprising many of their old enemies who they once considered gone have returned after centuries.

By the end of the war she was ultimately defeated by the heroes and likely killed during the Heartless Civil War.

Biography

Hester arrived above the ocean territories of Atlantica alongside a fellow Warlord Elitras to attack with her forces until outside interferences came to King Triton’s support, realising they were wielders of the Keyblades, but not aware of their faces as she demanded to know who they were until they proclaimed to be Sora Yujo and Riku Yami, unable to believe their claims when according to history those Keyblade Bearers vanished in 1274 N.E., or in her belief ‘died’ over 400 years. Believing to be some Commonwealth trick, but not fooled into thinking the Keyblades were copies, sending a force of Heartless to deal with them until they managed to overpower her forces.

Impressed and decided to face them in person and able to hold out against them both with her powers until another Elitras stepped in to order a retreat with the arrival of the Commonwealth fleet, despite her attempts to continue the battle she did so and returned to her vessel to give her report of the incident. Unable to believe it until now by both leaders of the Heartless Empire recognised their faces in disbelief.

Powers and Abilities

As a member of the Warlords, Hester had authority her own forces and the power over the Heartless. Proven to be a capable fighter to take in a keyblade master with hand to hand combat. Her element-based magic is Water and Darkness, allowing her to manipulate the water elements, swim and breath underwater for long periods of time. Other powers she has demonstrated to conceal her presence and use the water to blend in.

Trivia

• Hester is the Persian translation for “Star” which is ironic for her powers the opposite, presumably turning to the side. While also the Hebrew name for “Hide, conceal”.

Notes

• She was among the first to engage the Keyblade heroes after their return and introduce herself as one of the Heartless empire’s generals.
