The Hour Wars were a series of brutal and increadibly short campaigns of conquests that the Empire of the Combine Race once performed thoughout their long history and typically against planets that have yet to master interstellar travel. Generally speaking how long these hour wars last depended heavily on both tech level of the planet in question and the special characteristics and events occuring during the short wars, with higher tech civilizations and species lasting anywhere between 18 and 5 hours while lower tech civilizations and species only lasting from 4 hours to only a few minutes at most. The 7 hour war of Golmar Earth is one of the most notable of these conflicts.
History[]
The combine military conquests during the First mutliverse war won a great renoun for the Empire of the Combine Races that the multiverses that managed to flee to a new timeline spoke of the terror of the Hour war that happened. This is why the Axis of Empires was formed in the first place and how the Empire of the Combine Races started having loyal subjects even if they were human or not. Some of these loyalists hailed the Combine as gods and saw themselves inferior much to the delight of the Empire of the Combine Races emperor who liked these subjects and let them run on a free lesh,
The Emperor of the Combine Races at this point after a decade of military conqeusts ordered all future conquered planets to be puppets to the Empire of combine races regardless of race as long as the populace of the conquered planets were not to deviant and didn't cause too much damage to the Combine via petty and futile resistances.
Xcom when first discovered by the Combine was seen differently as the Emperor didnt mine freeing an XCOM timeline in which the aliens won (He just wanted to to see if this earth would destroy itself over the technology) and conquered earth. Once the liberation was done the combine simply left the system and abondened a few obsolete star ships for XCOM to have along with the knowledge how to gain multiversal travel. An action the Emperor later regretted later on in the mid half of the First multiverse war.
