The Imperial Remnants is the name of a collection of different but ultimately similar group of remnants that was created out of the ashes of the Galactic Empire and continued to fight for its' cause, most of said Remnants often adhered to the tenets of the former Galactic Emperor Palpatine's New Order; although among many of the remnants slavery and anti-alien sentiment were defacto abolished (although dejure is entirely different matter). What made the Remnants dangerous was holding onto numerous equipment and military assents from the remains of the old Imperial Navy, Imperial Army, and Stormtrooper Corps, some of the equipment that makes up the Remnants various war machine were the more traditional Imperial vehicles like Star Destroyers, TIE series starfighters, and Imperial walkers.

While all of them share similarities and beliefs, this did not make them unified, in fact, the Imperial Remnants were a disunited group split between numerous Imperial generals, admirals, moffs, grand moffs, and opportunistic warlords, who often fought amongst each other as they did with the Alliance. In fact, the Imperial Remnants were even more disorganized and factionalized then the likes of the Reich Remnants, who are also rather infamous for their own fractured and disunited nature as well. While they were formed, in part, long before the Combines' betrayal and the Axis fractioning, being more of a byproduct of the Endor War but due to the Combines takeover of their state in the months and years following Palpatine's first and second deaths, the Empire didn't officially (as it still function as a functioning state, if diminished and situated in the Deep Core, Core, Colonies and Inner Rim of the Viau Skyriver Galaxy) crumble until after the Combines turned against the Axis and in turn caused it to crumble as well, and with nothing holding it together, the Galactic Empire fell apart shortly there after, regardless of more pressing issues facing the them much to the annoyance and frustration of lower ranking officers and commanders alike. None the less, the Imperial Remnants still become a problem for the Alliance, in fact, it was a Imperial Remnant that spark the Remnant Wars in 2375 NE, which only spiraled out of control from there, becoming centuries worth of interrelated conflicts that consumed much of the Known Multiverse.

List of Prominent Remnants[]

While the Imperial Remnants had considerably more opportunistic warlords taking control of numerous military units and equipment, largely owning to them being either high ranking Imperial officers or government officials, far more then the Combine Remnants, most of which were fanatics and diehards over warlords trying to forge their own personal cliques, most of the Remnants themselves often were made up of more fanatical members of the old Imperial military, although not to the same extent as the Reich's Remnants, they still largely used the Empire's old emblem and used it with pride. Another aspect to these remnants is their alignment with dark side groups in some way, and even being lead by darksiders entirely, an unexpected development given who controlled the Empire before his deaths. With this in mind, Imperial Remnants are usually divided into three major camps, Fanatics, Warlords, and Dark-side Cultists, all three of which are fairly self explanatory, with the Fanatics being the old Empire's most fanatical members, usually and often cases being former ISB officers, though plenty come from other branches of the military as well, the Warlords are simply opportunistic individuals who used their power, wealth, or old positions to create personal cliques in whatever territories they can get their hands on and generally made up of high ranking Imperial officials, ranging from Moffs to Generals, to Admirals, but simple Governors of individual systems are also known to be found among them as well, the Dark Side Cultists are more difficult to place as they share characteristics of aforementioned Fanatics and Warlords, with some having similar mindset of the Fanatics while other have mindset more in line with the Warlords but regardless of their goals all are either lead by, controlled by or have a Dark-Side cult and or Dark Side Cultists in some form or another.
