Jabba Desilijic Tiure, better known as Jabba the Hutt and often called the "Bloated One," though never to his face, was one of the most notorious Hutt crime lords in the Skyriver galaxy, Jabba had started as a small crime lord, but quickly spread his influence into a variety of illegal activities, including spice-smuggling, gunrunning, slavery, and sometimes outright piracy. Known for his cruelty and carnal fancies, Jabba the Hutt was powerful enough to command respect and payment from the Skyriver galaxy's ruling government, so much so that during the Clone Wars and the First Multiverse War, the Republic went to great lengths to avoid Jabba's displeasure and even other governments outside the Filo Universe. Operated from his palace on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. Jabba was a major figure on Filo Tatooine, where he controlled the bulk of the piracy, slavery, and trafficking in illegal goods that generated most of the planet's wealth. He was also highly influential in the entire Outer Rim as one of its most powerful crime lords.
Jabba's influence and power over the Outer Rim, specifically its hyperlanes, was sought by both the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, who both courted Jabba's approval. When Rotta, Jabba's son, was kidnapped, the crime lord promised his support to whoever returned his son. When the Separatists were revealed to have orchestrated Rotta's kidnapping, Jabba pledged his support to the Republic.
Jabba continued to operate in the Outer Rim after the invasion of the Combine came to his reality, preserving his power base while reluctant to allow the Alliance of Nations enter his turf against a common foe, but not losing an opportunity to gain some advantage of acquiring their weapons and Synths during a war against his rival syndicate factions. This plot was exposed when one of his rivals was captured or killed, forced to relinquish the weapons to the Alliance,
