Jeffrey Sinclair a male Human from the Bab'lonin Mars Colony. He came from a family of pilots served in military and continued the tradition and became a fighter pilot after enlisted in EarthForce. He served as squadron leader during the Earth-Minbari War and fought at the Battle of the Line, the last major battle against the Minbari. When he awoke after attempted a suicidal assault on the Minbari war cruiser, he awoke to find the war was over with no memory of what happened.
When Babylon 5 was established in 2257 (1452 NE), Sinclair was appointed as the commander of the station to represent the Earth Alliance among the many races to come together in peace. Upon first contact with the Commonwealth of Golmaran States, a major power of the Alliance of Nations and welcomed them to Babylon 5 to build relations with them. In January 2259 (1454 NE), Sinclair was then reassigned as ambassador to Minbar and was succeededby Captain John Sheridan. However, in truth he became the leader of the Anla'Shok to prepare an army for the return of the Shadows the Minbari have feared and learned the true meaning of the Commonwealth's arrival with a war spreading across many realities.
In 2260 (1455 NE), Sinclair returned to Babylon 5 to reunite with his friends for a mission to go back in time to take Babylon 4 back in time by a thousand years to aid the Minbari in their first war against the Shadows. He ultimately chose to stay behind to take the station and using the Triluminary to transform himself into a Minbari, thus fulfilling the legend of Valen.

Early Life[]
Jeffrey Sinclair was born on Bab'lonin Mars on May 3, 2218 (1413 NE), the son of a career military officer, David Sinclair, and a Professor of North American literature, Gemma Gildea Sinclair. Jeffrey also had a brother, Malcolm. His father flew for Earthforce during the Dilgar War and was eventually killed during the conflict, though not before being present at the liberation of Balos. According to Jeffery, his father never forgot what he saw there.
When Babylon 5 went online in 2257 (1552 NE), Sinclair was chosen to be in charge of the station, even though several others were in line in front of him. Sinclair was surprised when they informed him, as he was comparatively low ranked compared to many of the other candidates. He would learn later that he was specifically chosen at the behest of the Minbari, who were the first to sign onto Babylon 5 but only on the condition they were allowed to choose the station commander.
