Kassandra Kurze or by her preferred name, Night Haunter and the primarch of the Night Lord Chapter of the Gamma Fop'lla Universe, created by the Empress of Mankind to lead the Space Marine legions of the Imperium, Kurze is the female version of Konrade Curze. Kassandra was snatched away by the four Chaos Gods as an infant and flung across the galaxy. The Primarch landed on the isolated planet Nostramo, known for its total darkness and lack of light. Upon reaching adulthood, Kassandra subjugated Nostramo's criminal element and became known to the local people as "Night Haunter."

Kurze had suffered from the gift of foresight. Like her male variant,, Curze had experienced uncontrollable visions of the future that threatened to degrade her sanity. Eventually the Empress, on her Crusade across the galaxy to unite the territories of humanity and search for her missing Primarch daughters in the process, arrived on Nostramo with four of Konrad's Primarch sisters Although Curze instantly saw dark visions of the future and a Great War of a powerful enemy, she nevertheless pledged her allegiance to the God-Empress.

Given command of the Night Lords, created using Konrad's genetic template. With her Space Marine by her side, Night Haunter waged war against the enemies of the Imperium during the Great Crusade.
