Leonard H. McCoy, MD, also known most commonly as Bones, was a noted Human physician and scientist who served as one of many surgeons and chief medical officer of the United Federation of Planets and Allied Organization of Health. McCoy was an accomplished surgeon, xenophysician, exobiologist, and an expert in the field of space psychology. Dr. Leonard McCoy was born in the "Old South" region of North America on Duyi'zu Earth in 1374 N.E. He was the son of David McCoy. He marries Leliana after the Second War

The Enterprise received word of a large scale assault in the Beta Quadrant by an unknown foe in 1415 N.E., Kirk ordered he crew to be ready as they were among the selected ships in the sector to investigate, but were caught off guard by a surprise encounter of an unknown ship, proclaiming themselves the Galactic Empire and members of the Axis of Empires. McCoy advised Kirk ti be cautious of approaching them and find out more about what their intentions were. He was among those to be surprise to find them human and also from another universe like the Terran Empire in the previous year. Knowing the Imperials had not intention of peace, he was dis true bed to know more about this race they allied with that were the leading force of the invasion known as Combine who had strong intentions of conquest and the annihilation of the Federation.

As he was going through medical scans, McCoy has been picking up traces of unknown artificial Nanites in the patients’ bodies, conducting further research which had traces similar to the Imperial and Combine officers they captured up. He was horrified to learn that the Combine soldiers were once human but heavily modified and learn the name of them called the Transhuman Combines.
