The Malica Universe (Designated DSE-359) is a universe that was known to be rather odd one for two reasons; The first of which is the size of the universe as it's unusually smaller then most, leading many Alliance and Axis scientists to theorize that the universe was originally considered artificial in nature, likely the result of a much older and significantly more powerful civilization that exist possibly billions or even trillions of years. Second is the almost magical nature of the universe with it varying from planet to planet but still significant enough to be noticeable, be it the run of the mill mages to the universes' bizarre defenders, Keybladers, and the weapons to which they owe their names, the Keyblade.
By 160 AXC (1420 NE), the Malica universe was split between the United Commonwealths of Worlds, formerly known as the United Republics of Worlds, and the Empire of the Heartless, both of which have fought each other for the past 52 years before the Axis invasion of their universe, which predictably led to the Heartless Empire joining the Axis and the United Commonwealths siding with the Alliance.
One thing that many outside of the Malica Universe have tried to understand about is the the mysterious Kingdom Hearts that supposedly hold the collective emotional and empathic souls of the universe as a whole, which also represented immense power in their own right leading to two separate conflicts over it. In order to understand this a bit more researchers began read over various Malican myths and began to notice striking similarities between them, leading some researchers to theorize that all Malican myths are actually misremembered oral histories that had slowly became legends over time as the details became lost with each passing generation, with only the legendary Kingdom Hearts holding them together.
Many of these theorizes were eventually prove to be correct in some way in the form of Hitt'lon Zizz'lii, better known as Ulciscor, the former brutal and tyrannical ruler of the Malica Universe via the almost forgotten Malican Empire, with Kingdom Hearts apparently once serving as his prison once he was dethroned, and the war he began once he was freed was his attempt at vengeance against the descendants of the people who imprisoned him.

Creation[]
In the ancient times of its creation, a race of Morts took form as new races of deities like the Primals, Astrals, and the Fal’Cie who all roamed the universe and responsible for the rise of myths and legends known to the current civilizations. This universe was visited by one o the Entities known as the Scholar for the interest of their source of magic to share, as well as The Shaper for the celestial structure of the Malica Universe which would perhaps be responsible for the new realms created alongside each other.
The Malica Empire[]
Many great empires prospered, including the genetic descendants of the First Human Empire that would give rise to the Malican Empire, then to its successor state, the Malican Republic that would last for eons in the young universe, their relics and legacy would pass on to legends but the Keyblades was their legacy.
Another ancient race once existed millions of years ago, known as the Occuria from the world known as Ivalice and made an influence on the younger races they came upon. Other surviving cultures of the Malican Empire existed and formed their own civilisations such as the Atlantean Empire who possessed the ability of harnessing crystals to extend their lifespans and main source of their technology until their own downfall.

Notable Differences[]
- In this reality, kingdom Hearts was artificially created and in fact a prison made by an ancient civilization as noted for other alternate versions to have different origins.
- The people of this universe physically ages slower then most, although they do age regularly in their early years but after they reach age 30 they slow down in age, likely stemming from remnants of Ancient era genetic reengineering, be they from the First Human Empire to the secessionist Malican Empire and its' successor state, the Malican Republic, surviving over the eons purely due to the smaller population and universe size. Some records of it faded into legend to civilizations referring to it as the 'Ancient Infernal Empire' or the 'Great Ancient Kingdom'.
- Another example is many Disney and Final Fantasy worlds in the Malica Universe were originally colonies and off-shoot worlds of the predecessor nation known as the Systems Federation.

- This universe is the main focus of Disney and Square Enix franchises:
- Although most Square Enix and Disney related properties are in this universe, there are exception; for instance, FF15 and Parasite Eve are its' own universe and only Disney and Pixar the films and related properties are found in this universe.
- Given the odd nature of this series, and how it depicts each world as if they're in the same universe, its' best to assume that it is one universe instead of interconnected universes.
- Possibly theories of being connected to the Fuu'eeuilo Universe.
- However, Old Gray mentioned there are approximately 45,793 alternate versions of this universe, yet are very different in their own way such as those with names of the alternate universes and some unknown or more as he had shown some to Sora Yujo with Valica being the only one in the Known Multiverse and the rest found in the Unknown Multiverse. According to The Timeline Creator and the The Storyteller, there are possibly more and new ones being created.
- Whether it was named after the Malican Empire or not is uncertain, most of the verses related were different due to its various differences to the other realities such as their names.
- Old Gray confirmed that this was among many alternate realities similar to this one and found it to be the one that is meant to be pulled into the First Multiverse War.
- Following the end of the old Worlds Order of isolationism between the various worlds in 1276 NE, the people of Malica would become more and more aware of the actions of Sora and his friends and would, for the most part, idolize them for saving the universe several times, as well as the need to create some kind of universal dating method for all the worlds that's now aware of and actively interacting with, the universe as a whole, so by 1280 NE the universe largely adopted the Before and After Xehanort Crisis calendar or B/AXC for short and overtake all other local calendars entirely by the 1290s and 1300s NE.
- The Calendar's date of importance is on 1260 NE with it becoming year 0 with the number going forwards or backwards accordingly.
- One of the most common results of the worlds reconnecting in 1276 NE was the widespread renaming of a number of worlds, especially planets that had a geography and or history similar to Earth (its' inhabitants even calling it that sometimes), most of which resulted in the adoption of alternative names of Earth or merging names together or creating entirely new names, one more reflective of the nature of their version of Earth in question.
- A frequently asked question involves why there exist so many versions of Earth (many of which were near identical to each other) in the first place, but that's where the Terran Empire and UGF shared information that might shade some light to it, put it simply, the Systems Federation, the universe-spanning civilization that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago and ruled over it for 250 thousand years originally ruled from Terra (now the capital of the Terran Empire) and the alternative "Earths" were artificial creations meant to replicate the capital world to varying degrees of success and when it fell apart as a result of the First Keyblade War and the following Collapse (a five thousand year period of constant brutal civil war that left many worlds to a stone-age primitive era), many of the survivors of this violent era were lost on these worlds and rebuilt from there.
- One of the more disturbing discoveries the newly reconnected worlds made was a planet they came to call simply as Nightmare where all living things (be they animals or plants) on the planet contained human DNA and only known sentient species are a group of extremely violent and xenophobic humans who lack reproductive organs. After a while they discovered (via billion year old carvings which also contained a horrific monstrosity called the Nightmare Amalgamation) that a unknown eldritch greater god-like being known only as the Tormentor slowly tormented and drove much of the planet insane while also increasingly warping the life on it into horrific monstrosities before finally killing nearly everything except the people and creatures it picked to be turned into the Nightmare Amalgamation and a group of humans, split between those that would become the twisted and violent tribals and the other half becoming the new plant and animal life.
- Much of this is inspired by a world colonized by the Forerunners millions of years in Halo's past where everything on it had Forerunner DNA while the Nightmare Amalgamation was inspired by the thing that the Flood began turning the Forerunners into near the end of the Flood-Forerunner War while also putting in concepts like Analogue horror, especially the themes of a eldritch force slowly twisting everything on a planet.
- Additionally, over time, the Malican states and organizations discovered that Nightmare has a 500 light-year radius full of numerous fallen civilizations, failed colonies, and abandoned facilities, with the oldest dating back circa 800 million years BNE. The reason for this apparent large dead zone around Nightmare is due to the influences the Tormentor left behind which continues to affect the region even after a billion years since it transformed Nightmare into its' current state, but this influence is often times subtle, at first, and only become apparent if one stays in the region for roughly 2 months, starting off subtle; increase in paranoia, nightmares, and in turn a lack of sleep, before gradually growing worse and worse the longer a person reside in the region until they have been drive mad by its' influence, often times worse then that. As a result of this, the Commonwealths eventually established a perimeter around the region to prevent anyone from getting into the region.
