The Malican Civil War, also known as the Commonwealths Civil War, the War of Three Governments, and the Fourteen Years War, was a conflict that erupted in the United Commonwealths of Worlds, which by this point had fully taken control over the entire Malica universe after annexing the Heartless Empire following the end of the Malican War, lasted from February 18th, 464 AXC (1724 NE) to December 9th, 478 AXC (1738 NE) between the United Commonwealths and two attempted successor governments, the National Social Party (or Naso) controlled Holy Human Republic lead by Consul Reinhard Forrest and the Workers Liberation Party controlled Union of Interstellar Communes lead by Secretary Pierre Charles Blanc.
For the next 14 years, the three governments fought each other bitterly for control over a universe still reeling from the equally brutal centuries long Malican War but increasingly more and more people supported the Commonwealths in the civil war as both the UIC and the Holy Republic committed numerous horrific atrocities across the universe ranging from massacres and generally butchery to outright genocide and eidocide. But eventually the war would end in Commonwealths victory with Christopher Anderson promising to help put into motion the reconstruction efforts as he promised to step down once the War had finally ended.
While the Alliance largely supported the Commonwealths in the civil war, elements of it, most notably the Imperium of Man, United Earth Federation of the Inio'zioni Universe, the Germanican Empire, the Coalition of Western Republics, and Trosky's Soviet Union, supporting either the Holy Republic or the UIC in the conflict earning them the ire of many elements of the Alliance, becoming a example of Alliance political infighting that reared its' ugly head every so often in the First War.
History[]
Prelude to Civil War[]
Four years after the Empire of the Heartless had fallen and annexed by the Commonwealth, the citizens of the commonwealth across the Malica verse rejoiced and endured the peace, focusing on restoring much of the damage done by the Heartless and worlds once destroyed were restored. The Commonwealth expanded and now became the superpower of their home reality with the support of the Alliance after finally pushing the Axis and Horde out. However, the universe was in ruins, not only from the centuries long Malican War but also from the rampage conducted by Ulciscor and the destructive Heartless Civil War that severely weakened and further devastated a already ruined Heartless Empire, with very few planets and systems that managed to not be affected by the war directly but indirectly was often flooded by refugees and displaced peoples from the conflicts, severely stretching the resources of the planets and systems containing these displaced populations. Furthermore, the Malican economy was not in a position to readily switch from a wartime economy to a civilian economy, or at the very least partial.
Commonwealths Election of 463 AXC (1723 NE)[]
As the time of peace lasted, the senate were now coming to an election for a new chancellor as Christopher Anderson, the current chancellor of the Republican Party, was declaring to run for another few years to continue his work to restore the damage done by the war after promising to step down once the war had ended, even for the former Imperial worlds to show support to former enemies for his Malican Restoration Act.
Other political opponents took part in the election such as Reinhard Forest, Pierre Charles Blanc for the office of Chancellor
Declaration of Fraud[]
Despite the voting systems being inspected and no sign of interferences Forrest and Blanc refusal to conscend defeat of this election and saw it as fraud,
Terrorism and Acts of Political Violence[]
Supporters of Blanc launched aggressive attacks on those who did not voted for Forrest, but also towards non-humans.
