Martok, son of Urthog was a Klingon warrior who rose to the rank of general in the Klingon Defense Forces during the late-24th century. A popular leader, he later became the last Chancellor of the Klingon Empire and while it was absorbed into the UFP following the end of the Beta Quadrant War, he continued to serve as a leader for his people through the First Multiverse War, beit within the United Federation of Planets or the Alliance of Nations.
Biography[]
Martok was born in the lowlands of the Ketha Province on Qo'noS to a common family. Fifteen generations of Martok's family had served the Empire as warriors, but Martok's father had hopes that Martok could become an officer. It took some doing, but Martok was able to take the entrance exam and passed. After getting the "stamp of Kor" for lacking noble blood, Martok was reduced to a civilian laborer. During a battle with the Romulans while serving on ShiVang's flagship, Martok's ship was boarded. Martok acquitted himself so well in the fighting that he earned a battlefield commission. He worked his way up and rose in ranks until finally achieving the rank of general.

War in the Beta Quadrant[]
Main article: War in the Beta Quadrant |
Martok always held private largely negative feelings about his nations' membership into the Axis of Empires especially as this very same membership saw them allied with the Romulans and fighting a on and off war with the Federation for over a century, he especially did not trust the Combines, especially the Advisors or the Pure Combines that lead it, but refuse to leave the Klingon Empire largely because of his loyalty, his House and honor. Keeping his thoughts to himself during the campaigns alongside their Mirror Counterparts such as the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance for much of his involvement in the brutal war.

Victory of Endor[]
- "The Death Star is vulnerable! All ships converge on the assault!"
- — Martok in the Great Battle of Endor
Martok received instructions from New Republic Star Cruiser Home One for the coming battle against the Axis’s newest Death Star, leading his forces to support the Alliance by launching an attack on one of Endor's moons of which a shield generator and imperial base was located, Martok and his forces arrived to the designated moon when they were all down, and opened a portal to where the Death Star II was hidden, only to learn it was much more powerful and operational than the Galactic Empire's previous version. Focused onn the Super Star Destroyer and its fleet, he gave the order to fire on the shield generators using photon torpedoes.
With all the shield generators were down, he took the opportunity to order his ships to bombard the station's surface while Captain Lando Calrissian and his squad would fly into the opening to take out the core from the inside. Received word of the core set to blow and a great explosion would take many ships, Martok and his forces immediately pulled out of the battle to escape the blast
Personality[]
Following the end of the Combines invasion, Martok become just one among many growing voices in the wartorn and effectively shattered Klingon Empire that express support for the Klingon people to join the Federation, although his reasons, while partly impacted by his friendship with both Worf and Sisko, is more pragmatic then idealism, or rather becoming disillusioned with the Klingon Empire's ways entirely, like so many other Klingons following the brutal and devastating Combine's assault, he knew full well the Empire was barely holding together as is after the invasion and the Federation, while still heavily damaged and devastated by the Combines, were considerably more stable then many of its' neighbors, and he knew that it will only be a matter of time before both the Empire collapses completely and the Federation slowly shallows the pieces, so might as well join it while still united, if barely.

Quotes[]
- Meeting Anakin Skywalker: “So you must be the Jedi I have heard stories about, I have read your military conflicts, your tactics and strategies. And I am most impressed! You are not like most Jedi I had fought in battle with, I look forward to battle alongside with you!”
- About Thawrn: “I have to admit, despite Thrawn serving alongside the Axis and as I admire his skills of a warrior, he is still an enemy you should be cautious.”
- Learning the truth of the Combine’s treachery against the Axis: ”When my people first joined the Axis centuries ago, our Empire was suppose to bring glory to its name and songs of our victories would last for centuries since the Combine came, but I knew full well they were no different than our rivals, They used us as fodder against both the Alliance and the Dominion, our own Council didn’t see it! Too blinded and arrogant to realise we were nothing but puppets to them! Now the Combine made one mistake: They should have killed us when they had the chance.”

Notes[]
- Up to the Combines' invasion of the Duyi'zu Milky Way following the end of the Dominion War, much of his character follows his canon depiction, although with obvious change to reflect both the Klingon Empire state of open war with the Federation for centuries up until their switch of allegiance during the Dominion War alongside the Romulans and Cardassians.
