The Milky Way
The Milky Way Galaxy is a spiral galaxy, surrounded by several smaller satellite galaxies, the Milky Way is part of the Local Group of galaxies, which forms a subcomponent of the Virgo Supercluster. The Galaxy closest to the Milky Way is the Andromeda Galaxy. The number of stars it contained was variously estimated to be over three billion to over four hundred billion stars and at least that number of planets. It generated its own magnetic field, which experienced dips and peaks. The galaxy was 100,000 light years wide.
The Milky Way as a whole is moving at a velocity of 552 to 630 km per second, depending on the relative frame of reference. It is estimated to be about 13.2 billion years old, nearly as old as the Universe.

The galaxy was between 100,000 and 120,000 light-years across and approximately 45 billion years old. The galaxy's luminous disk contained some four hundred billion stars. In addition to the main body of the Milky Way, the galaxy has a number of smaller companion bodies, most notably the smaller and larger Magellanic Clouds. The galaxy is also in the process of absorbing a dwarf Galaxy SagDEG. The Milky Way's nearest large neighbor is the Andromeda Galaxy, some 2.2 million light-years away.

Fop'lla Milky Way[]

The Milky Way from the Fop'lla Universe was home to a variety of races and plagued by wars and chaos incursions, currently at the time of the 39M era, it was dominated by their version of the Imperium of Man, Forces of Chaos the T’au Empire, the Aeldari, Drukhari and the invading Tyranid Hive prior to the Combine invasion. The galaxy after the Imperium War was now united by the coalition of races once rivals to form the Imperium of Species in the mid 32nd century New Era (40th millennium).
In the 4004 NE, the galaxy was ultimately destroyed by the TransRace Empire in the result of testing their latest superweapon, the Grim Reaper I during the Third Multiverse War.

The Milky Way in the Lol universe is referred to as the "Winter's Way" galaxy.

In the Doon'kin Universes, the Milky Way was commonly referred as the "Mutter's Spiral".
