The Order of Ashla is an order of Jedi (and technically a sect of the wider Jedi Order) created after they found themselves in the Malica Universe in 50 BXC (1210 NE) after getting pulled into a naturally occurring interuniversal rift that took them from their home universe of Viau to Malica during the High Republic age. Intentionally the group of stranded Jedi stick to themselves, especially as most of the worlds they discovered were much more primitive then the worlds they are use to and what stellar states exist, those belonging to the Terran Empire and United Galactic Federation, had technology and philosophies that were decidedly different from their home universe and were more preoccupied with finding a way back to their home universe. But ten years of searching were fruitless, forcing them to reevaluate their options causing months long debate within the Jedi group, some 65 in total, with some opting for continuing the search for a way back home and others to give up the search and get involved with the universe they now find themselves in, eventually, the latter group won out and the 65-strong Jedi group would formally create the Order of Ashla and they in turn being called the Founders in the process, seeking to bring knowledge of the force as well as ensuring peace and justice in the new universe they call home. From there the group would actively seek out possible Force-Sensitives to train in the ways of the Force and the Jedi, eventually becoming one of the two most prominent orders in the Malica Universe and became heavily involved in the United Commonwealths of Worlds and its' staunchest ally.

While it shares much with its' parent organization, the Order of Ashla does deviate from its' teachings in various ways, one of which is not having a no attachment rule and allowing its' members to marry and have children, though stress not to let those attachments rule their lives or cloud their judgement. Although this aspect did caused schism within the new order but it never went beyond intense debates.
