The Protectorate of Menoth pronounced as MEN-awth, usually referred to simply as the Protectorate, is a fundamentalist theocracy and the youngest of the Iron Kingdoms of the planet Caen. It was founded in 484 AR, following the Menite uprising during the Cygnaran Civil War.

The devoted masses of the Protectorate of Menoth march forth from the gates of their cathedral fortresses to enlighten the surrounding heathen nations for the Creator of Man, Menoth and his greater glory, to whom they worship fervently and believe all others should follow suit. While lacking in technological sophistication they more than make up for with devotion and strength of numbers. Virtually the entire population of the Protectorate can be called to war in times of need, at the time of the First Multiverse War, it was designated as a Separatist faction by the Alliance during the Gi'ru Conflict and taken part in the Great War to fight for the survival of their Protectorate.

Tristant Durant of the Protectorate

By the 1416 N.E., the Protectorate received reports of strange sightings in their borders and forces that took Cygnar and Khador by surprise. Many of the ocuncil assumed this was the work of the Cryx to attack from the shadows until the Daughter of the Flame Feora sensed something troubling and gave th eroded to proper their forces fo th ecoming battle of strong and powerful invaders. It was not long until the Protectorate was dragged in what become known as the Gi'ru Conflict to fight against the invading force known as Axis of Empires when they learned this invasion was a coalition of invaders when scouts returned form the Bloodstone Desert of horrific creatures operating machines that slaughtered their crusade legion that set up an outpost, Tristan Durant, a Menothian Initiate aided the defences and brought back the creatures he described as demons of hell and warned the Protectorate of giant metal behemoths marching towards their borders. Calling an order to send their forces in belief that this was a test of faith to their god Menoth, despite the disadvantage against the Galactic Empire‘s legion of Stormtroopers, their knowledge of the terrain was an advantage and their magic on their sides in belief the invaders were heretics of siding with the demons.

By the year 1645 N.E. surprise to many, the Menothians had taken part in the great Multiverse War and more prepared than the last time. They have adapted a new way of fighting in war by developing technologies when they were originally taught and developed from mercenaries who stol from Cygnarians and the Alliance to prevent their kingdom from falling behind, discovered their people have hardly aged since the conflict began when a few researchers discovered word of machines inside them, preferring to keep their hidden from the public in fear of panic and in belief this was the work of Menoth. The Protectorste launched its first attack to drive out the invaders from their universe in a bid to ride the verse of the invading forces, mainly the Coalition of Independent States, or the ‘Horde’ as they find fitting for a loose band of mercenaries and brutes, including the Legion of Everblight, the Cryx to rid their long enemies. The first major victory was the planet Ganith after a long year bloody conflict with the Kingdom of Khador.

The Protectorare of Menoth had decided to expand but protect their ancestral land despite the majority of Caen is under Alliance control and sent a fleet of colonists to take Garnith as the first colony of Menoth to begin the new age of their kingdom.

Culture and Society[]

Even though Cygnaran law governing the Protectorate forbids the assembly of a standing army, the treaty contains a clause allowing a capable defense force—the Menites have done so a hundredfold. In the decades following its inception, various leaders have slowly amassed a secret army under the guise of this defense force more or less under the watchful eye of their neighbors. Every Sul-Menite is expected to be ready for the call to arms, and it is their holy duty to prepare. The laws of Menoth far outweigh those of any mortal king. In truth, the Cygnaran spirit resting in the hearts of its soldiers is the military’s true strength. Even after massive losses over the past campaign season, so many of them are still eager to take up arms and fight despite the risks. They are more than willing and ready to defend themselves and their beloved kingdom from those who would crush the principles of freedom and all for which Cygnar stands. The general populace must obey any ordained priest in addition to any other servant of the Temple. Priests generally defer to scrutators, but both have greater authority than the exemplars or monks who in turn wield more clout than paladins or the Temple Flameguard. However, even the lowest-ranking Flameguard can demand obedience from a Protectorate citizen. It should also be noted that members of a military group do not obey the commanders or superiors of a different group except at the special behest of a ranking priest or scrutator. For example, an exemplar cannot normally give orders to a paladin or a monk, regardless of rank.

Over the centuries, some of their customs have changed and adapted to the new ways but not as steady as most civilizations during the Multiverse War when they became an interstellar power, somewhat more toleramt to other religions so long as they do not interfere or stir problems, with the exception of cultists such as the the Forces of Chaos, they did however, show signs of resentments to the Combine for their nanite technology made extend far beyond the natural lifespan as nature intended
