Randall Kenneth Pearson is a human male hailing from the Us'ael Universe. Born in Us'ael Earth's America, Randall was abandoned by his birth father, William Hill, the day after his birth on the steps of a fire station in Philidelphia, where he was taken to the nearest hospital and adopted by Jack and Rebecca Pearson who had just had triplets, but lost the third, Kyle, in childbirth.
Randall grew up with his adopted siblings, Kevin and Kate, in a complex and eventful childhood. He grew interested in discovering who his birth parents were and spent much of his childhood attempting to find out, but his adopted mother had secretly met William Hill several years after Randall's birth, and chosen to withhold the information out of fear since William was a drug addict.
Randall met and married Beth Clarke and had two children, Tess and Annie, with her. While Kevin went on to hold a successful career in acting and Kate in education, Randall found a high-paying job controlling agricultural assets, which made him valuable due to his high intellect, but he quit after realizing his company didn't value him.
Randall eventually met William after tracking him down and spent the last year of William's life getting to know him before he passed away. Randall would later adopt Deja Pearson to be his third daughter, and the two grew to have a complex but loving father-daughter relationship.
Randall would enter a political career as a district governor in Philidelphia, and seven years later, became senator for the state, and he held the position for eleven years, only dropping the position for the presidency of America, which won and he held from 2032 to 2038 (5957 NE to 5963 NE), governing in honor of his late mother. His winning campaign point was the “Five-Year Plan” for improving the American economic system. His second term would ultimately be cut short after his universe was discovered by the Multiversial Federation, and, after popular vote, was annexed. As compensation, he was offered a decent position within the Federation's Constitutionalist Party, which he accepted.
Randall slowly rose through the political system and became extremely popular for his caring attention to society, family matters, and being very sociable with others. He was eventually motivated to run for president of the Federation and campaigned for two long years to win the popular vote, which he won in a landslide. His famous "The Mountain We Climb" speech greatly contributed to his victory in the campaign, and Randall became the 46th President of the Multiversial Federation, serving from 5995 to 6015 NE.
Biography[]
Childhood[]
Randall Pearson was born on the night of August 30th, 5905 NE (1980 Us'ael) to William and Lauren Hill, a struggling addict couple in Philadephlia. Since they couldn't afford a hospital and didn't want to risk Randall being taken by protective services, Randall was born inside William's cramped apartment room and Lauren was put into intense pain through the night. To ease the pain, William injected Lauren with drugs. In the morning, William awoke to find Lauren barely alive and unmoving.
After calling the paramedics, William fled the scene with Randall in his arms, believing Lauren to be dead, and abandoned Randall on the steps of a fire station. The firefighter who found him delivered him to the hospital while William returned home, and unbeknownst to him, Lauren has survived and been arrested for being an unsafe parent. They would never reunite, even after Lauren was released.
Meanwhile, Randall was found by Jack Pearson, who's wife, Rebecca, had just gone into labor and given birth to triplets, one of which did not survive. Jack decided to adopt Randall as he and his wife had been set on having the "Big Three." Randall would grow up with his adopted brother Kevin and sister Kate.
Randall grew up as a child prodigy in mathematics and science, while Kevin, jealous, mistreated him frequently and went into football and later acting after an injury. Kate wandered generally aimless for her youth, and was abused by her boyfriend several times before the Pearsons intervened and broke them up.
On January 26, 1998 (5923 NE), the night of the Super Bowl, the Pearson household caught fire in the middle of the night from a faulty crockpot sparking and setting fire to the entire kitchen before spreading through the downstairs. Jack managed to get the entire family (save Kevin, since he was out of the house that night) to safety, but in the process, inhaled too much smoke and would die in the hospital later that night.
Randall would remain consumed by guilt, blaming himself for his father’s death for decades to come. He would continue his academic growth and enter a top-level college, where he met Beth Pearson, a talented young woman with her own exotic background, and the two would date for years.
Marriage, early fatherhood life, and employment[]
After several proposal attempts by Randall, Beth finally agreed to marry him, and the two came to live together in a luxurious household. On October 1st, 2008 (5933 NE), Beth gave birth to their first daughter, Tess, on the house’s living room carpet after an acceleration of labor. Their second daughter, Annie, was born a few years later. Randall and Beth became the first and longest-running marriage between him and his siblings.
Later life[]
In 2016 (5941 NE), Randall managed to successfully track down his birth father to his apartment and confronted him, but William was kind in his demeanor and the two grew to like each other. Unfortunately, William’s declining health conditions led him to become increasingly sick as a result of cancer caused by his years of addiction among a number of other causes. He died around a year after the two first properly met.
Political career[]
After William’s death, the company Randall worked at for managing agricultural assets sent an impersonal, unsigned gift card along with a gift card of Pears, which Randall was allergic to, and had made the company aware he was allergic to. Randall came to the conclusion a few months later that his company didn’t care for him after they transferred half his clients to a new employee with no experience. He quit his job soon after, and decided to run for district governor in Philadelphia.
Around this time, he also adopted Deja, a troubled teenager around the same age as his other daughters, to fill William's absence. though they didn't get along at first, they soon came to regard each other as proper family. Meanwhile, Randall's campaigning destabilized his marriage with Beth over his seven weeks of campaigning, and nearly ended their marriage, but after moving closer to the district offices to save their marriage, it recovered, and Randall won the election.
Pearson held the position for eight years and gained great public favor for improving his community's less fortunate districts, particularly safety conditions. He also became popular after a Zoom meeting during the pandemic when he was changing his shirt in front of a camera he didn't know was on, causing the dance he did while changing to become a meme sensation. His work bolstered his campaign when he ran for senator of Philadelphia and won. His campaign was far less eventful, and the stability gave him time to focus on his family and see his girls off to college, also to handle his mother's deteriorating health.
Over the years, Rebecca developed Alzheimer's, and had plaques growing on her brain. The condition gradually worsened, and as Kevin built a house for Rebecca and her husband, Miguel Rivas, Jack Pearson's best friend prior to his death. He was able to say goodbye to her on her final night before she died early next morning. The day after the funeral, Randall proposed to his siblings the idea of running for President of the United States in honor of Rebecca.
As President of the United States[]
Pearson's relatability and friendly demeanor won the hearts of the public during his campaigning for Presidency, which won and he held from 2032 to 2038 (5957 NE to 5963 NE), winning the minds of the public with his campaign point, the “Five-Year Plan,” for improving the American economic system. His second term would ultimately be cut short after his universe was discovered by the Multiversial Federation, and, after popular vote, was annexed. Randall voted in favor of the annexation, and compensation for his term's termination, he was offered a decent position within the Federation's Constitutionalist Party, which he accepted.
As President of the Federation[]
Randall slowly rose through the political system and became extremely popular for his caring attention to society, family matters, and being very sociable with others. He was eventually motivated to run for president of the Federation and campaigned for two long years to win the popular vote, which he won in a landslide.
His famous "The Mountain We Climb" speech greatly contributed to his victory in the campaign, which saw Randall deliver an eighteen-minute speech to over 200,000 individuals in front of the Third Multiverse War Memorial in Utopia City, Pol. His speech called to the strength and resiliency of the Federation, having survived ordeal after ordeal in its history, and encouraged the people to continue to climb the metaphorical mountain of challenge that everyone takes during their lives, and to conquer their own ordeals.
Randall became the 46th President of the Multiversial Federation, serving from 5995 to 6015 NE.
