This planet was the homeworld of the Romulans and the capital world of the Romulan Star Empire, a member of the Axis of Empires. The planetary system consisted of the primary Romulus and two unnamed moons. Romulus and Remus were the major worlds of the Romulan Star Empire. It was destroyed alongside remus once the Alliance of Civilizations used the Sun Scorcher superweapon at the Hobus star system, a Allied version of the Sun Crusher.
