The S.H.I.E.L.D. unit, which stands for Super High-Speed Infantry Electronic Defensive System, is a prototype of the CID (Cybernetic Infantry Device) unit of the next century. Used by Alliance of Nations's elite soldiers, the S.H.I.E.L.D. unit itself is a robotic exoskeleton designed to support carrying a heavy machine gun as well as a fast anti-tank missile launcher and Kevlar armor to resist light missiles and shells. The S.H.I.E.L.D. unit can be upgraded with millimetric radar for stealth detection. Today, the S.H.I.E.L.D. is used by the Alliance Joint Military to match other battle suits like the Tau XV8 Crisis Battlesuit and the Axis's Ubersoldat created by Deathshead.
