The Sol Universe, or later the Alpha Sol Universe, is a universe that was discovered in the early days of the First War in the year 1862 Sol (1574 NE) This universe contains a version of Earth set in the mid 19th century, specific during the events of the American Civil War and after it was discovered and dragged into the wider war spread to the rest of the planet. This universe is the home universe of the Sol United States and the Confederate States, both of which are the more well-known governments during the course of the First War. It has a counterpart universe that was discovered later on, which was then dubbed the Beta Sol Universe in 1879 Sol (1591 NE), though the years between the two is drastic, with Alpha set in 1862 and Beta set in 1941 both still contains a Confederacy in it, just the Beta version details a Confederacy that won the civil war in 1865 due to the help of the British and French Empires.

Oblivious to anyone at the time, a growing cult under the influence of The Enslaver to offer them hope and in return for slaves, the Entity granted them this favour and provided slaves at all cost by drawing the attention of the Combine to their Earth in the mids of the Civil War.

While the Sol Universe for the first time in centuries no longer in a state of war with the Milly Way galaxy of this universe having fallen in the control of the Alliance after the Confederate States signed an unconditional surrender after being severely weakened and devastated enough that it could not fight much less survive in a self-imposed era of anarchy, rebellions and innumerable invasions form enemies and former allies alike, and it was especially apparent that much of this reprisal was a centuries in the making stemming from the Confederate's horrific abuse towards human and non-humans in their culture destroying obsession with slavery that effective lead to hatred and discrimination towards any human from Sol Earth, but in time, the Federated Systems Republic would repair and resolves these issues and ramifications, but the scars will remain indefinitely for generations.
