0% Approval Ratings: Due to his reign in over four centuries ruling an empire and started to focus more on his military, Aanakwad had started to distant from the citizens, by the final years of his reign, residents disapprove of him and even expressed interest of having one of his sons or daughters take over but could do nothing. At least until a planned revolution took place and successfully took away his power.
The Ace: First the soldier of the United Earth Federation, now the ruler of a stellar empire.
Affectionate Nickname:
A God I am: Subverted, while he does have a great figure and lived for centuries, he knows he is but a mortal man with machines extended his and everyone's lifespan. He even scoffed at the idea that anyone who believes themselves as gods wouldn't have any reason to fight.
Age-Gap Romance: Had this going on both ends, although it varies as to how extensive it is or how little changes there is
Wives where he was younger: Sarrha, Chisomo, and Asta
Wives where they were roughly equal age: Leili (2 years older), Minna (2 years younger) and Angelina (born same year three months older)
Wives where he was older: Gulnaz, Asuman and Mulan
A Lady on Each Arm: Aanakwad certainly seen with his harem and has some in each arm.
All For Nothing: All his efforts of creating a stellar empire that he believed to be the salvation of humanity from his universe, to overthrow the UEF was but in vain. Even if he had somehow did, he would have somewhat succeeded had he not let his paranoia cloud his judgement or harshly treated his subjects.
All Girls Want Bad Boys:
Amazon Chaser:
Mulan, a Keyblade bearer.
Anti-Hero: Compared to how he created the empire more tolerable to David Young's nation, he may have had his moments when realising how corrupt his people were back home but even so he was no saint either, emotionally abusive and controlling, all in his efforts to make a strong nation should humanity in his home galaxy fall into disarray. He has opened up diplomatic relations with other races for alliances and made the Sekrosian Empire a more towable place to live for all citizens of social status to thrive, he was at first a courageous and benevolent ruler, but his abuse of control and military, even his fear of the UEF let to the downfall.
Anti-Villain: the lesser version of David Young.
Asskicking Leads to Leadership:
Anti-Hero: As he was until years of ruling started to get the better of him.
Authority Equals Asskicking: Doesn't always sit on the throne everyday, he would take action as he had fought in the war against the Irkens, the Axis and the Combine. Even willing to lead his own soldiers to battle as he mentioned that if a leader can't lead or do anything, what would be the point of being king?
Badass Normal: Aanakwad had trained himself through the centuries to remain in top physical shape and strength, he was surprisingly swift and skilled to take on a Chaos Warrior despite their superhuman strength. Seems 400 years of training has been worth it.
Bad Boss: Downplayed he's not the best boss persay but still a bit better then most, and certainly isn't awful enough to get all of his soldiers and forces to turn against him but his mistreat is still bad enough to have half of them turn against him
Barbarian Longhair:
Becoming the Mask: At first, Aanakward only saw the citizens, most of the royal court and his wives as means for his means of accomplishing his goals to bring down the United Earth Federation. But over the years spend with them, he started to truly care for them, but didn't want to openly show it as to continue with his plans.
Bigger is Better in Bed:
The Caligula: Near the end of his rule he became this, having slowly focused more and more on his personal harem and the finer things in life, he also become increasingly more brutal and oppressive to the people many of his subjects don't even bother hiding the distain they have for him.
The Casanova: He's quite handsome and predictably results in a lot of women (and some men) being quite attracted to him and its' also why he gotten his wives in the first place, his natural handsomeness was part of the charm they were attracted to. Aanakwad was said to have been this way since high school.
The Charmer: Aanakwad is noted for his ability to charm others and make them his friends, even enemies. But also used this to make the women immediately fall for him.
Charms-Atlas Superpower: At the point being over 400 years old, Aanakwad had surprisingly become strong enough to have fought against a large Chaos Space marine and lived.
The Chessmaster: It was never known to anyone in the public, but discovered that he's been planning this from the very beginning since he was a soldier of the UEF and saw the dark future ahead. This drove Aanakwad to such lengths to plan, seek out potential allies and those to use for his goals, building an empire, using his children to be set in positions and built a weapon that temporarily weakened the Young's forces to buy time for the Sekrosians and their allies to build a powerful united force against them.
Chick Magnet: He was certainly one since high school, he was very handsome, athletic, charming, smart and polite, eventually having a total of 9 wives at once when he became the ruler of an empire. Granted it does get downplayed in the uprising era, enough once mistreatment sets in, but he still have a number of women who like him, his wives originally or his female guards and soldiers.
Chivalrous Pervert:
Crazy-Prepared: Been planning his war against the Federation for a long time since being marooned and isolated from the universe. Building his army, gaining allies and establish an empire.
Cultured Badass: Its' pretty clear that Aanakwad based alot of ascetics of his Empire on Sekros Prime (moreover the Royal Palace itself) off of various Middle Eastern and Ancient Greek cultures, especially his getup he has and what he typically forces his wives into. That said, the rest of Sekros Prime's population funnily enough have a more western crossed with Cyberpunk look.
Deadpan Snarker: Has and does dish out the snark just as frequently as his wives does to him, though he takes it as a form of affection when it often isn't the case for many of his wives.
Didn't Think This Through: On several things:
Believing that holding Mulan prisoner would not protect him from the wrath of her family forever, not even her parents would allow Heaven or Hell to stand in their way. Not even considered the fact, Mulan wouldn't remain in his grasp forever, she is an experience fighter and keyblader, knowing nothing about its abilities would be a great disadvantage, the only reason she didn't do it now was to buy time to end his reign and the safety of her daughter.
Even if he somehow succeeded in his plans, there would be many resist against him and still have to deal with rival nations in his home universe, especially the Alliance when they hear about his invasion plans.
Never considered the fact that his own wives and children who he had assumed been faithful and loyal to him since the founding of the empire would willingly plotted to overthrow him to end the rebellion and remove him from power.
Domestic Abuse: He frequently abuses his wives over a multitude of ways, most frequently involving rape.
Entitled Bastard: Firmly believes he should be the one to guide humanity in his home universe and not David, which fuelled his attempts to build up an army to take on the UEF in the future. All this so he attempted to save them from a dark future he witnessed in the alien device, paranoia did seem to affect his personality much.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite being an abusive king and husband to his wives, he does allow them limited freedom but only in the palace and where he goes as means of keeping them safe from assassins or political rivals, treats them fairly and not let any man go near them. but still controlling and believe he is doing this to protect them. Does show some moment of affection and love, which is understandable giving he was the king and has many enemies, but more dominant as he would make sure they be protected.
During his final battle in the Revolt, despite realising that his own son was leading the revolt, he could not bring himself to end his life in battle.
In his journals he often wondered what became of his family back home and hope they are safe, even the thought of his sister and wanted her away from the federation as possible, encouraging her to move to another universe should anything happen.
Everyone Has Standards: While he has fought for the Federation to ensure a future for his people from the Combine and the Irkens, the growing amount of brutality and tyranny towards human and alien not native to his Earth, and seeing the visions of the tyrannical future of Young as a tyrannical emperor who driven their people to ruin in the future was what driven him to defect and build a new nation. While at first it was progressing, but with some loyalists present and doing what he hated to become like his rival, Aanakwad had to take the role of a tyrant rule and mistreat his subjects and wives to conspire against him in an effort to build a stronger nation greater than the UEF.
This plan of his appears to have ironically worked when his eldest son had took over and made it stronger and more into a commonwealth.
Even Evil Has Standards:
Aanakwad truly does care for his people and wanted to build a future for them than fall into anarchy or become like the people of the UEF who called David Young's believe into being savage conqueres. He has mentioned of caring for the people of his earth and believe they won't survive in the tyrannical regime unless someone steps in. Even loves his parents and treasured the memories of them before he left.
Despite forcing himself on his wives, Aanakwad would punish anyone who assaults them, this happened when he beats down a guard who tried to have his way with Mulan and severely punished him, although this latter aspect is quite hypocritical of him. He did indeed keep Mulan close by and not leave the palace due to her memory loss and have a target on her back for her magic.
He once publicly executed a pedophilic serial killer. No one, not even Mulan or the rebels, disagreed with that.
Aanakwad did not share the same traits of his fellow soldiers during the time of serving the Federation when he saw the growing signs of corruption and harsh treatment to not just aliens but to humans as he wanted to fight for freedom.
Aanakwad believed being ruler for so long has affected his personality and secretly ponders how long it would be before he truly does become no better than David Young.
Exotic Extended Marriage: Becoming a king after founding his empire, Aanakwad had established the rule of extensive marriage, even by having nine wives
The Extremist Was Right: Aanakwad was very determined to cripple the UEF's political power at any cost to prevent Dvid Young from creating an interstellar empire. By the end of the First War, he was right about Young becoming emperor and turning the Federation into the Grand Terran Empire.
Fallen Hero: Sortof, in the UEF he's viewed as a hero by most of the population but in the wider Alliance he's viewed less as a hero and more of a monster even before the revelation of what he did became known such as creating a secret army, letting his people suffer when becoming a tyrant. Even Arvo who was the eldest of his children once looked up to him as a man who fought for freedom and honor until the war and the reports of the EUF's growing corruption, and the war's escalation made him lose sense of his purpose.
Fan Diseservice: His muscular phsyique would have been something to admire ins earlier days, if he didn't let power and paranoia get the better of him, and also abusing emotionally and force himself onto his harem.
Fatal Flow:
his pride:
Aanakwad's hedonist lifestyle, indulging in the company of his royal harem and into thinking the human civilization would bow to him. This led to many starting to turn against him, even members his own harem had started which thanks to Mulan and became his downfall underestimating his foes.
Foil: He's this for David Young, they're both brutal tyrants in their own right and control over horrific regimes but David is in a monogamous happy marriage with his wife with no hints of them being abusive towards each other whereas Aanakwad is a harem seeker with multiple wives whom he treats rather horribly, furthermore David is clearly the smart of the two given he managed to run his regime with little issues for almost 1700 years while Aanakwad's empire collapsed after four centuries.
Although both had become tyrants in the end, Aanakwad's legacy did indeed made his people took on the path to diplomacy and peace, fighting for actual freedom and better themselves from the dark times, while David's people become more tyrannical and oppressive, unable let go of the hate they bare from the aliens that tried to subjugate or exterminate.
Founder of the Kingdom: He rose from being a military commander protecting his people from conflicts for decades to founder of the stellar nation years after the colony was stranded in another galaxy
Gambit Roulette: It was his attempt to unite his people stronger and other races to stand against the United Federation and the Grand Terran Empire.
Genghis Gambit:
Go-Go Enslavement: He has earned this reputation for his fetish of having his harem girls in skimpy revealing costumes, many of which based off of depictions of Middle Eastern harem women.
The Good King: Inverted and deconstructedL Aanakwad was a good leader who helped build a society for his people to thrive and protected them from threats for centuries. This became slightly Subverted, before the uprising, his plans to invade the UEF made him become mad with power and quite delusional.
Hair-Trigger Temper: Anything that doesn't go his way, he will get very mad.
Happily Married: At first for a long time with Sarrha, even as royalty until he later persuaded her into opening up their limits to have more than one spouse. While at first he showed some care and love but was very cunning and manipulative to his wives.
Harem Seeker: A more successful example than most as he ended up with 8 women as his wives, Mulan being the final wife of the bunch.
Has a Type:
Most of his wives appear very curvaceous and voluptuous, hence why he usually has some in dancing outfits to watch them. As well as some being busty as well Some such as Sarrha, Asuman and Asta being curvy and with decent and large breasts, but also for Mulan as well for her figure and beauty.
Likes intelligent and strong minded women, hence why he fell for Sarrha other than the age game and looks.
He Who Fights Monsters:
Heroic Build: Somewhat of an anti-hero/anti-villain before being made a tyrant, he has the adonis look and towers over 6,2, easily towered many females and others.
Heroic Wannabe: Even when he was a hero to the federation in the pats, he wanted to be seen as one to his subjects in the empire as he was inspired by many heroes from history and even from heroic legends. This did happen at first, but in the last decade of his reign started to change. Unfortunately just before the revolution, he was now branded as a 'Tyrant' then a hero.
Hidden Depths: He has a these moments of genuine sweetness and caring with his lovers, even made Sarrha as his queen to rule beside him. He did certainly show affections to others and treated them equally with care and love.
Expressed great relief and joy to see Asuman walking with her new legs and let her time to adjust to them.
When Mulan was stranded on Sekros Prime with no means of returning home, he took the time to know her more and not forced himself on her until openly expressing her feelings for him, even on their night of passion he didn't want to force himself on her but to touch and kiss her only if she wishes.
Hoist By His Own Petard: He kept his harem under constant guard and only allow Non-Human guards and Droids to watch over them, not trusting humans to guard them, especially men (and on rare occasions female soldiers), thinking that beings that are either not as sexually active as humans typically are or unable to but never accounting for the possibility that they would still develop sympathy and empathy with the captive women and becoming one of the many guards plotting against him.
Hunk: His physical looks for that matter, as never lost this look over the centuries despite his fall from grace.
Mulan's response of meeting certainly thought of this.
Hypocrite: Spouting how his people have become monsters and savages because of the United Earth Federation, while mostly true, it didn't stop him from abusing his subjects in the belief to make them stronger.
Then there's his stance about Rape, he is disgusted with anyone forcing themselves onto anyone, his wives especially, even though he does much of the same thing himself.
I did What I had to Do: What no one but few realised, that the whole event of appearing as a tyrant, the uprising, was all a plot set up by him in a long game after he saw future visions from the alien device of what would happen if the United Earth Federation left unchallenged. Knowing it was going to be a challenge but saw vision of Mulan who fitted the description and if he brought the people united and stronger to stand against tyranny, then he would have to play the role of a tyrant to ensure his people, the Sekrosians never submit to to another like David Young who made his people into xenophobic monsters.
Mulan learned about this, and could not believe he did it, all to ensure to inspire his subjects to stand against the UEF's imperialism. Even as he had forced himself on them.
Jerkass Has a Point: He may have been abusive, controlling and oppressive after running an empire for centuries, in his defence was to make his people strong and united to remind them to not be soft and pointed out the heinous atrocities he witnessed of the UEF's actions when he was in service. Aanakward may have not been entirely a saint, but he was right about David Young and the people who follow him became the tyrannical oppressors and did brought his people more closer to fight for their rights of freedom centuries later as according to historians.
Aanakwad didn't want to risk calling the attention of the Alliance as he explained to Mulan upon her arrival that they would possibly inform the UEF of his people's whereabouts, it is understandable as the UEF has slowly become a dictatorship and also considering he was thinking of the safety of his people when they have experienced peace for the first time without being in a war.
Jerk With a Heart of Gold: Despite all his jerks traits, he truly did show some softer sides as he made a prosperous society for his people. Wanted to treat his harem equally and fair to provide them the needs.
Aanakwad had certainly shown great concern when hearing of Mulan in danger by the Horde raiders and expressed sympathy for those that were killed and even one time showed a lot of care and worry when she was trageted by his rivals to kidnap her before she became his wife, mainly due to her ability of using magic and loss of memory would make her easily manipulated.
Even if he forced his wives into revealing outfits to satisfy his pleasures, he wouldn't consider forcing his daughters in the situation as their mothers mainly as their father as one of the few traits of affection to his children, at least until they were old enough and married, mostly to show some positive appearance as a royal family. However he does show to let his wives dress in fine clothing when taking some out of the palace for special occasions.
Know When to Fold Them: It was believed that he let himself be overthrown by his own son and children when he realised the mess he caused after witnessing the uprising, rather than fight for his life, he accepted his defeat and saw his children had truly become strong enough. Rather than expecting a death, he was exiled and requested them to not become like him or Young. The only regret he ever thought of was unable to see the look on David's face after he saw his demise in the distant future long after his death.
Large and in Charge: Aanakward does have an impressive figure, being in good shape and standing at 6'4. He was nicknamed the "Steal Goliath" in combat.
Love at First Sight:
Marital Rape License: He has this belief in regards to his marriages with multiple women, that he can have sex with them regardless of rather or not they want to.
Sarrha recalled how whenever he was with her in bed, she recalled being 'helpless in his embrace and always sore the next morning', even when he hurt her he would apologies over how he can get a little carried away.
Mulan even remembered after her first few months as a married woman was hard to pull away in his strong embrace and was wild with her, she could barely have found away out of bed.
Marry Them All: Married just about 8 women in a polygamous marriage.
Modest Royalty: At times he's usually half exposed but when on royal duties and peering ceremonies, political assignments, he does dress for the formal occasions.
Mr.fanservice: He is quite handsome and certainly strong built, displaying his muscular figure as he was originally a Federal soldier and kept in excellent form and shape. It was certain enough to woe his lovers to fall for him.
Nerves of Steel:
Obliviously Evil: He legitimately thinks he's a good guy in the end, since he believes that he does is all in a effort to help his people in the end, which in turn leads him to ignore alot of awful things he has personally done as well as his regime's atrocities.
Oblivious to Love: Many of his female guards are shown to be attracted to him yet he somehow is completely unaware of it. Possibly as a way for him being more focus on his work and his goals to avoid being further distracted.
Oh Crap!: Finding out that the Federation was starting to become aware of his nations' existence, and accidentally blurted it out to Alliance agents when Kaleth smugly told him that they only came after pirates when they found him it was merely a bonus. His plans exposed and also rebellion spread across his empire.
Parental Neglect: Yes he does educated and train his kids to prepare them a future as his successors or valued roles in the Empire, but beyond that he rarely interact with them, usually sending them to far parts of the territories or use them as military and political pawns while running a stellar government, causing many of his kids, especially the older ones, to be resentful of him over time.
Papa Wolf: Neglectful certainly but still quite protective over his many kids and will defend them if he thinks or knows they're in harms way. He is most protective of his daughters, knowing they inherit their mothers' beauties and also as princesses, he would act as a protective father from certain potential suiters who try to gain their affection. Aanakwad was also determined to take his family on the colony vessel to avoid the risk of losing them to the UEF's new protocol of 'quietly disposing' those fail the intelligence tests set up by Young.
In his last act of sacrifice after reuniting with his youngest daughter, Amelia after many years, he was willing to throw his life for her than be captured by the Imperial Terrans.
Pet the Dog:
He genuinely loves and cares for Sarrha, as she's his first wife and the one that's clearly his favorite of the wives, being far more gentle and kind to her far more then his other wises, that said he still mistreated her, but in a more emotional and psychological way, this includes likely manipulating her into accepting him having multiple wives in the first place.
He's neglectful and rarely interact with his kids but he still loves them anyway, just doesn't show it like he should to make his people think he is not soft. He felt it was something to teach them to survive on their own and not rely on him all the time.
Worried for the thought the Axis or the Irkens would one day discover their world, he set in mind to action to ensure his people were prepared for the worst.
Politically Incorrect Villain: Considered the people of the UEF as nothing but savages, even considered the Imperium as nothing more then brutal barbarians despite being one of the most powerful nations in the Alliance. Which isn't exactly far off considering what the citizens have been doing and certain laws have been made by Young as both president and emperor. Funnily enough, while he's less speciesist then much of the UEF government he still share the same utter hatred for the Irkens and he keeps them enslaved as much as the UEF. Ironically enough, by the time the Grand Terran Empire was founded, his assumptions became true after all.
Polyamory: He has married to a Toal of 9 wives during his imperial reign, even had so with his first wife to suggest it before they left Inio'zioni Earth.
Properly Paranoid:
Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Its' no secret that he effectively forces himself onto his wives and does not care about their consent on the matter. Using his arms and seduction to lower their guard and give in to his needs.
Really 700 Years Old: He was born in 1495 NE and due to the Nanites was a few centuries old by the time he meet and married Mulan although its' unknown how long he lived after he was abandoned on a planet by Mulan and Kaleth.
Really Gets Around:
Reasonable Authority Figure: While at times he was stern and cold, he did at times try to be one as a king.
Redemption Equals Death: After being exiled to an isolated part of a planet, knowing the empire was in good hands. Taking the time to rethink how he let his paranoia and fear cloud his thinking because of what he saw in the future by an alien machine. But knowing he had not much long to life and decided to make up for something. Then after encountering an Alliance pilot, who he found out was his youngest daughter, Amelia Yujo, who was being pursued by Federation soldiers to capture her. Without hesitation chose to die fighting and let her escape by setting up a bomb to kill everyone with him as his final act of true heroism, even destroying the ship that was loaded with bio-weapons to attack Sekros Prime.
Rousing Speech:
Royals Who Actually Do Something: He is proactive in the running of his state and enacted many policies he believes helps the state, although combined with his hedonistic nature and tyrannical ways its' certainly causes more problems did it does solve them.
Sex God: There is no denying that for Aanakwad, he was an extremely talented lover who had seduced and married nine women, the girls of his harem cannot deny that he has a way with women and make them fall instantly and madly in love with him, one of the special talents of keeping them close to him. He has such a trait to actually make love to all eight of his wives with incredible stamina.
According to Sarrha, when having sex with any women would fall for him instantly and truly believe he was a sex god in flesh. Easily uses this to his advantage to make his wives unable to resist his temptations without being violent at times and kept this going for over centuries until his downfall.
Smarter Than You Look:
Smug Snake:
Soldier vs. Warrior:
Stout Strength:
The Strategist: Aanakwad had learned many things asa military officer and a skilled tactician. H knew his forces would not stand a chance against the EUF with the Alliance supporting them, putting most of the resources to assign a mission of using the secretly workable FTL-drive to spy on his foes, learn their tactics and secrets and create a special weapon that could cripple their fleet when the time is right. While this would have worked had he not let himself become mad with power and delusions, but the strategy did actually worked a thousand years later that brought the end of the Grand Terran Empire's fleet in the final battle.
Strong and Skilled: Not only is he physically strong
Strong Family Resemblance:
Take Care of the Kids:
Villainous Crush: A rare but dark example of a villain being successful getting the love of their hero crush, although "love" is a stretch, he fell in love with Mulan the moment he set his eyes on her and ensure events took place that allowed him to keep her with him, and get her to marry him.
Villain Has a Point: He had to point out to Mulan the reason of keeping her and his wives in the palace grounds was to protect them from the rest of the universe since the Great War was still going on and correctly stated that the United Earth Federation was already a brutal dictatorship and also pointing out that the Alliance was no different either after the Xilo Crusade that he heard about, and using both as a reason to keep his people isolated for their protection and build an army.
This given his reason for his long years of servitude made him believe it was his by right to lead, not Young as he stated that the man would ultimately lead their people to ruin in the future.
Villainous Parental Instinct: Is he neglectful? definitely, but if anyone tries to hurt his kids he'll make you regret it.
Walking Shirtless Scene: most of the times he is mostly topless when between royally duties.
Well-Intention Extremist: Aanakwad had started to build his army for centuries and whilst many beleived was to protect their people, he was also plotting to one day match against the UEF in the future and potentially overthrow them. This was considered too dangerous and even to his own people. Even so far to cause events to make his people more united. IN truth, it was all part of a long planned plot he set up to ensure his people do not follow the same path as their Earth Federation counterparts, even if he was to make himself a villain.
World's Strongest Man:
Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Even if he has become a tyrant, he would never harm a child and find it barbaric and weak, not even to his own children, but would not mean to train them to be soldiers and future successors.
