Traditional forces against Reformists during the Civil War
The Imperium War, also known as the Great Human Civil War, was a massive conflict that took place within the Fop'lla Milky Way galaxy during the Second Multiverse War that occurred between the Reformist faction and Traditionalist faction within the Imperium of Man from 2755 NE to 2990 NE. The conflict was on of great confusion for the Traditionalist sense the Reformist was lead by their reborn God-Emperor with the aid of the Illuminati and the Loyalist Primarch sons in the Siege of Terra conflict. Questions of the Emperor's choices of remaining among the Alliance and through a series of changes he sought to make the Imperium a different nation. Small but influenced factions took advantage to the confused and outraged powerful individuals, forming riots and rebellion, spreading lies about the Emperor oblivious to his own 'allies' taking advantage of his revival and wanting the imperium for themselves, thus leading to a divide and conflict for control of the imperium as the Traditionalists joined forces with the Imperialist Alliance during the Civil War. The war ended in Reformist victory after exposing the lies and deceit of their enemies, forcing the surviving t Traditionalists who learnt of the deception to step down and change sides, others who refused chose death in combat knowing their services to the Imperium is at an end, hoping to earn atonement for their 'betrayal'. This let to the formation of the Imperium of Species as a step to a new era.

Since the return of the God-Emperor's revival, fractures grew within the Imperium over those who sought to gain control such as the Ecclesiarchy's decline of power through religion and the progress of science and technological advancement. Some believe the God-Emperor should not have full control, but dare not speak in fear of being seen as heretics.
