    • The dragon for power, good fortune, and strength, even for hidden knowledge.
    • The eagle from the US in strength, wisdom, and courage.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership:
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: Aanakwad wanted to make certain that he and any successors after him would be seen as strong leaders, he even took part in certain missions and battles alongside his fellow soldiers to prove how he cares for them during the foundation of the Sekrosian Empire.
    • Several of the council members were war veterans and even the royal members as their father wanted them to not be so idle and be seen as active leaders in various positions.

They would even have the authority to, if needed, deposes the king/queen if they fail to uphold their duty to the people or abuse that power.
  • The Empire: Although by name and a monarchy, the Sekrosian Empire does hold some form of democratic system for the senate, yet the monarchy holds absolute power.
  • Energy Weapons:
  • Everyone Has Standards: The people of the Sekrosian Empire were more civilised compared tot heir brutish and tyrannical counterparts, they are more tolerant to many races who are not hostile to them but still fearful of the Irkens. The Sekrosian citizens look down on slavery and those who remembered the days of living under the UEF that it was a cruel place for those who do not fit their 'ideals' would be killed. At least using the traded alien tech they can improve physical and mental states. Living under the reign of the Sekrosian Empire was considered more tolerable and easier than under the Federation's watch, at least they be given many choices to survive.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Sekrosian society is somewhat based on ancient Greece and elements of Middle-eastern cultures, yet blended with 21st century as their society had changed over the centuries. They even named planets apart from Sekros Prime after various gods and deities
  • Fantastic Racism: Not to all aliens, but mainly towards Irkans and the Combine mainly due to their previous conflicts with them. They tolerate other races so long as they are not hostile or pose a threat.
  • Feudal Future: In the early history, there have been some positive improvements that the citizens began to see as a positive improvements compared to the time in the UEF for those who still rememebered it when it was in a state of war against the Irken and Combine Empires.
  • Foil:
    • The United Earth Federation: Whilst they took the name 'empire', they are somewhat of a lesser evil and more tolerant to alien races, never considered invading unless for military strategy. They considered a more united and distant themselves from the UEF's ideals of conquest by seeking allies with alien races for trade and technologies for mutual trust to face off against a greater threat such as the Combine, while the UEF simply conquer alien and human alike from other universes and turned against the Alliance. Even though the Sekrosian Empire had a short existence to it's counterpart, its successor, the Free Systems Republic lasted much longer and was more successful when it supported the Alliance to overthrow the Grand Terran Empire.
    • Grand Terran Empire
  • Hope Spot: Prior to certain moments of corruption, the founders of the Sekrosian Solar Empire were present of the time the United Earth Federation was becoming a tolitarian regime were certain they would be the liberators of Humanity in their reality and bring the Federation to a new era or under their control. But
  • Humans Are Warriors:
  • Lady of War: Not only have men as warriors, but women have been common to be skilled warriors as well.
  • Lost Colony: They started out as a colony ship that was lost somewhere in the Andromeda Galaxy and became a thriving culture.
  • Low Culture, High Tech: Somwath more balanced in between the two as they have some low cultures based on ancient cultures, but continue to advance their science.
  • Organic Technology: Slightly, but favoured more in medical science and began to use it more for their ships, this was the result of discovering ancient alien technologies beneath the ancient vaults of Sekros Prime and incorporated it with their own, but taken centuries to fully master it.
  • Proud Warrior Race:
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: In Sekrosian society, Aanakwad made certain that those who bear the nobility and responsibility must play their part in service to military and politics to fight for their nation as it was his attempt to create a society of people capable of defending themselves and athletes. Those who failed to life up to their duties, refuse to fight or committed a crime be looked down upon or loses their royal status as it must be earned by achievements and experience.
    • Aanakwad as Sovereign would willingly lead his forces into battle personally, including his sons and daughters.
  • Shiny-Looking Spaceships:
  • Space Romans: Although not exactly roman or knights, but still maintain the modern customs of soldiers yet earned the nickname by the Terran Empire, much to their annoyance.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: With the fear of the United Earth Federation one day invades their borders, Aanakwad and his inner circle would do whatever means to protect their borders and fight the Federation should they go to war, even by means of using dangerous experimental weapons and viruses onto the fleet. Even by means ruling with an iron fist on to the citizens.
  • Vestigial Empire: The Sekrosians rose at a great height of a powerful space faring civilization and have endured for over 300 years, but by the 20th century New Era, they slowly fell from grace by corruption and tolitarian due to the growing fear that the EUF would launch an attack on them and loyalists still active in taking advantage. Fortunately this was averted with the intervention of the rebels and restored order, and decided to create a Free Systems Republic as its successor state.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Being so far and distant from UEF borders in a distant galaxy, many colonists realise that without navigations, communications or a working FTL drive, they are unable to contact Earth. Yet the colonists felt this was a good thing considering how harsh life back on Earth was like and could have a proper future, the descendants of the first colonists no longer consider Earth their home and proudly call themselves Sekrosians.
