Great Multiverse Wiki

Tropes[]

  • 100% Heroism Rating: They were this on their homeworld of Hydaelon and home system entirely, with its' people still fondly remembering them even after centuries had past, although the wider universe didn't know about them until after they were freed and their actions in the decades after earning them this within Malica entirely since they helped put an end to Ulsicor's rampage and fought in both the Heartless and Malican Civil Wars. Outside of Malica is more of a downplayed example, as there exist plenty of people who dislike them regardless of their actions.
  • The Ace: All of them are this, having become masters in multiple fields of combat and non-combat alike, although it does get downplayed after they were freed since it took time for them to get use to the way things are in the Malica but they still became this, to a albeit more milder degree.
  • Ace Pilot: Downplayed, especially once they were freed, it took time for them to understand how starfighters work but once they do they quickly prove be just as effective with it as others, although not to the same degree as the likes of Han Solo, Anakin Skywalker or Mass Effect's Joker
  • Action Girl: All the female members are this by default, being just as capable as their male members in every regard.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Some of the female members (and one or two male members) admit to having a crush on Emet-Selch, much to the clear annoyance of some of their members, although it did not stop them from putting a end to him regardless

  • The Archmage: Moreso Ambaghai, Iva, Vas, Weynild, Ruhrhe'to, Anono, Vukebor, Asa, Poillaux, G'mhenyixo, and Rennir but all of them are this to some degree.
  • Battle Couple: a few of them are this to each other
    • Rennir is this whenever Y'shtola is with them
    • Poillaux with G'raha
    • Nergüi and Aegheard
    • Akiie and Ulmex
    • Ambaghai and Asa
    • Staslik and Tesla
  • Being Good Sucks: Zigzagged. On one hand, the Warriors exploits make them not just world-renowed but also universe and later multiverse-renowed with them making friends from all corners of the multiverse. They became comfortably wealthy from their adventures and have untold experiences to satifsfy their thrill seeker urges. On the other hand. the Warriors have clear chronic hero syndrome which gives them immense responsibilities and one that often results in them having people expects them to uphold, which does weigh down on them and made them weary to bear any additional burdens and the lives they've saved, and yet they still keeping on, with smiles on their faces even after everything they went through.

    • Iva, when she, Burchard and Alfanne first discovered Nekoya and Iva fell in love with its' owner, she made it a point to sit at the counter that has the clearest view of the kitchen so she can watch him cook... and not at all unsubtle way of checking him out, with her often watching his rear much to the amusement of both Burchard and Alfanne and in time the rest of the Warriors once they were told of the restaurant's existence and the cook who unknowingly captured Iva's heart, which they happily uses to lightheartedly poke fun at her expense.

  • Heartbroken Badass: The deaths of number of their friends, be they Scions like Minfilia and Papalymo or their many friends along the way Moenbryda, Ysayle and Haurchefaunt, still deeply affects them to this day.
  • The Hero:
  • Hero Does Public Service:
  • Heroes Love Dogs:
  • Heroic Fatigue:
  • Heroic Lineage:
  • Heroic Resolve:
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation:
  • Heroic Willpower:
  • Hidden Depths:
  • Hope Bringer:
  • Humble Hero: To a surprising degree given what they have done on Hydaelyn and furthermore across Malica and beyond, one would think they'd have a bit of a ego problem but no, they have a inverse of this, with them viewing themselves as being no different from anyone else and that anyone else would have done what they have done, all the while the Scions and anyone who ever encounter them is just flabbergasted by this behavior of theirs.
    • It later becomes a subversion as time went on with their collective humility taking on more and more aspects of someone with some degree of depression, especially since they frequently think of themselves in a way that seems to suggest they don't think of themselves all that highly whatsoever due to a variety of reasons.

  • It's All My Fault:
  • Its' Personal:
  • Jack of All Trades:
  • Jerkass to One: They're usually pretty kind and compassionate people... all but to Hitt'lon and Yiloala, for some pretty obviously reasons.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: All of them share this, not just with their homeworld's native Coeurls but also applies to Earths cats and other cat-like animals, and yes this also applies to the Cat folks Miqo'te and Hrothgar.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: Some of the Warriors in the group fall into this, being rather dickish to their friends and allies, or at the very least give off a air of apathy, but still fight to protect and defend people no matter what.
  • Living Legend: Moreso for the people of Hydaelyn then Malica but in time they did become this for Malica as a whole and by the early 2000s NE they have became this for the Alliance as well, and to a lesser extent the Axis and Coalition, though more out of fear then wonder in the later two cases.

  • Nightmare Fetishist:
  • Not So Above It All:
  • "Not So Different" Remark:
  • Not So Stoic:
  • Obviously Not Fine:

  • Seen It All:
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran:
  • Slasher Smile:
  • Straight Gay: Played with since the world they come from isn't as concerned about sexual and romantic orientation as a result stereotypes associated with sexual and romantic orientation is nonexistent, so its' not at all surprising to see Akiie, Ulmex, Poillaux, and Yevran, openly gay men and woman, not to fall into such stereotypes and frankly are confused when people from other earths point out how they don't seem to "fit" the look of a gay man or lesbian woman.
  • The Soft-Hearted Warrior: Each warrior is a One-Man/Woman Army unto themselves and are described as fighting like a demon on the battlefield, have slaughtered more people then anyone can count, killed physical gods and eldritch horrors and can slain immortal beings. And yet when they're not fighting they often times go out of their way to help everyone in need no matter how minor it is and always gives people a shoulder to lean on or simply give a helping hand.
  • Spanner in the Works:
  • The Stoic:
  • Stunned Silence: Centuries ago some of them had this to Y'shtola's ritual incantation but for a more serious example is witnessing Reinhart Forrest's suicide right in front of them after fighting their way through his palace to try and capture him near the end of the Malican Civil War.
  • Straight Man/Woman:
  • Summon Magic:
  • Survival Mantra: "For Those we have lost. For those we can yet save." A simple one but a effective one that keeps them going no matter how much trauma and heroic fatigue they get.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Many of them take this position in some way for many of the villains they fought against, like Emet-Selch and Meteion but there's limits to what they sympathize with, like the actions and behavior that Yiloala and Hitt'lon/Ulsicor has done, both of whom they genuinely hate.
  • Talented, but Trained:
  • The Teetotaler: Not true for all of them, but half of the Warriors flat out refuses to drink alcholic drinks whatsoever, and frequently and politely refuse any offers given to them by people they encounter.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork:
  • These Hands Have Killed: While they all enjoy the thrill of battle, they also acutely aware of how many people they've killed and it all weighs heavily on their minds, even after coming to terms with it and forgive themselves for it, but believe they will face a reckoning for all the lives taken and will welcome it like a friend.
