The Terran Empire was one of the major interstellar superpowers in the Malica Universe, established on the Terran homeworld Terra by Queen Elizabeth Stuart to begin her goal of reuniting the civilizations under one banner. The Terran Empire rediscovered the lost relics and technologies of the ancient Systems Federation from the pre-collapse era. Expanding their borders across thousands of star systems in the Draconis Galaxy and later beyond, home to many species and civilizations, including the isolated human colonies long forgotten that joined together under one banner governed by the Monarch of the Empire and the Prime Minister, whom is elected by its' people.
The Terran Empire had a mixed relations with United Galactic Federation and the Procyon Expanse who were rivals to the Empire in the Malica Universe just before the war erupted between the Empire and the Federation, but followed a treaty with them through the diplomatic ties of the Keyblade Order and the Order of Ashla near the end of its history and to the end of the Worlds War as it nearly destroyed both the Terran Empire and Galactic Federation.
The Terran Empire existed for 5500 years and survived through the threat of the Heartless and the Organization XIII during the Xehanort Conflict. But its' conflict with the Federation almost destroyed both entities and allowed the Heartless Empire to emerge to slowly conquer both weakened states forcing them to work together against the common threat, but barely able to keep it completely conquering the universe but now was reduced to half of its' original size. This, along with its' weakened state lead Illysa II, better known in history as Illysa the Last, to formerly declare the end of the Empire following parliaments signing of the Commonwealths Constitution dissolving the Terran Empire and United Galactic Federation and various other powers and reformed into the United Commonwealths of Worlds.
History[]
Origins[]

Terra, the homeworld and capital of the Terran Empire
The earliest known records of the Terran Empire's foundation goes back to the planet of Terra, Malica humanity's original homeworld, circa 10 BFE (5425 BXC/4165 BNE) emerging as the first among a handful of civilizations that recovered from the Collapse of the Systems Federation nearly 145 thousand years pior.
Terra was divided between various kingdoms and nationstates competing one another for political control over Terra, one such superpower, the Britannian Kingdom began to expand under the rule of Queen Elizabeth Stuart who ascended upon the throne by 20 BFE (5435 BXC/4175 BNE) after her marriage with Pilib Kingston. Queen Elizabeth immediately set forth with her plans to make a nation more greater and the world more united under one banner, forming alliances, military conquest, and bringing smaller nations to join there.
Knowing this would not be an easy task, she set forth to reach out to the more friendlier nations and kingdoms. crush rival warlords and other monarchs and leaders of the planet. Elizabeth then reoganizatised the Britannian Kingdom into the Terran Empire in 0 AFE (5415 BXC/4155 BNE)
Expansion and Early Conquest[]
Elizabeth focused on the first year of training the new imperial army and sent out her messengers to the closest allies to join her side. Some supported her but others would sought out to declare war against the Britannian Kingdom. With the new parliament declaring her the first queen of the Empire. The Terrans would eventually expand their influence across Terra as they had come to call themselves, with Elizabeth the Uniter would over see the expansion of the Empire until her passing in 57 AFE (5358 BXC/4098 BNE). Her successor, Anne I, the second queen of the Empire would continue the Empire's conquest and be referred as Anne the Conquerer.
In 15 AFE (5400 BXC/4140 BNE), the Terran Empire found a planet in habited by non-humans, the Felinid and Canid, it came at a shock to learn there were other sapient races and approached them, while primitive, the two races were in fact one species with diverse genes and accepted being under their protection and some saw use of them for their skills in navigation and strength that could be beneficial to the Empire, teaching them the advance technologies and uplifting them close to the Terrans' standards to navigate and pilot ships. They have encountered other species as well, Cragorians, Aquanogs, Bugardians, Optocs became part of the empire.
Over the centuries, the Terran Empire began to focus their resources and newfound technological achievements for interstellar travel beyond their homeworld and saw the cosmos as the next adventure and frontier. Although they built a few rockets to test the length and travel, sending pioneers and scientists to the neighbouring planets save for colonising. By orders of the current monarch was to send out several ark ships that would contain a sizeable population into deep space for future colonisation, although some would respond in centuries, but two out of several would be cut off from another part of the Malica Universe.
Although not all were friendly, some were defeated and subjugated or annexed, most notably the Mantavors, an arachnid species who were notable for their ferocious reputation and attacked several colonies until the Terran Empire defeated them as it was once referred to as the Mantavor Conflict.
First Golden Age[]
The Terran Empire experienced a moment of a golden age in (year) AFE (XXXXBXC/XXXX BNE), achieving advance technological growth, colonising many systems, more species and civiizliations joining the Empire and earned the right as fellow Terran citizens with no regards of species.

Government and Society[]
For its' entire history up until its' collapse the Terran Empire was governed as a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary democracy operating under the Westminster system, otherwise known as a democratic parliamentary monarchy, with a separate head of state and head of government, called a King or Queen for the head of state (much like various versions of the United Kingdom and its' empire, the Terran monarchs are not called a Emperor or Empress despite ruling a empire) and Prime Minister for the Head of Government. It was governed in a centralized but federal state wherein the Parliament of the Terran Empire is sovereign. Parliament was made up of the elected House of Commons, the appointed House of Planets and the Crown (as personified by the ruling King or Queen). With most of its' activities taking place in the two houses but royal assent is required for a bill to become a act of parliament. Likely as a result of its' structure the Terran Empire's constitution was uncodified and consisting mostly of disparate written sources, among which includes parliamentary statutes, judicial case law and international treaties all held together with constitutional conventions, although its' supreme court recognizes core principles of its' constitution such as parliamentary sovereignty, the rule of law, and democracy.
Technically speaking the Terran Empire only officially controls 10 thousand systems in total, however, it does includes the hundreds of other vassal states, dominions and colonies indirectly controlled by it, and thus accounting those numbers the Terran Empire controlled well over two galaxies. Interestingly enough, while the Empire did conquer numerous worlds, it practice a policy of assimilation, multiculturalism and equalitarianism with its' new conquered and or annexed species, leading to a species diverse empire with various species in all levels of society. However, it does not excuse the prolific and often violent manner the Empire expanded its' territories, even under comparatively passive monarchs and Prime Ministers. This was especially apparent during the decades leading up to the Worlds War between it and the United Galactic Federation, as it actively influenced systems and planets into joining it and when that failed invade and conquer them outright, leading to ever increasing tensions between the Empire and the Federation until one attempt at forcing a system into their fold resulting in the Federation intervening and in turn sparked a war that eventually spelled the end of the Empire for good.

List of Prime Ministers[]
Unlike most parliamentary systems, where there is no set term for its' prime ministers, the Terran Empire's Prime Ministers did have a set amount of years in office, 4 years per term, however, a prime minister can and have been removed from office should parliament hold a voice of no confidence vote, but such events are relatively rare in the Empire's long history.

Military[]
The Royal Navy had been a force to be reckoned with for over the centuries and had the best trained crews in their native galaxy. It had naval stations across the Terran Empire and outposts throughout the frontier territories. The Navy had the duel roll of protecting the borders of the Empire from threats like the Procyons and between other galactic powers such as the United Galactic Federation, as well as keeping the peace inside the Empire by pursuing and capturing pirates.
Since they expected to perform a variety of functions ranging from bombardment duty to emergency cargo transport, most Royal Lightships were built to be well-rounded multi-purpose vessels. This lack of specialisation means that Navy ships must used solid tactics in order to succeed, and depend on their solid construction to let them survive in the thick of things. The best range for a Navy captain is medium range where all weapons can come to bear in full broadsides.
Technology[]
The Terran Empire's technology from the Malica verse were an interstellar civilization for many centuries to have expanded and sustained themselves for a extensive period of time, they were able to build atmospheric bubbles around their sailing ships during the early centuries of spaceflight before creating more traditional starships. The Terrans have at some point able to travel at further distance between galaxies.

Foreign Relations[]
- United Galactic Federation: The Terran Empire and the Galactic Federation had a tense relationship between the two major superpowers in their time as rivals until the relations became sour to fall into a state of war. However, by the rise of the Heartless and warlords, they did seem willing to put aside their rivalry to fight them to join forces into founding the United Commonwealths of Worlds before completely taken over by the Heartless Empire.
- Procyon Expanse: The Terran Empire was one of the two major galactic powers who shared one galaxy and had a far more strainedrelations with the Procyon Expanse then they had with the Galactic Federation, they held a peace treat known as the Treaty of Gisane which lasted for 25 years of peace until Alexander III decided to take advantage of a period of severe unrest in the Procyon Expanse and send a Retribution Fleet around the neutral territories to pillage vulnerable Procyon colonies and almost succeeded in a war until he was overthrown. During the threat of the Heartless Empire, the Terran Empire immediately came to them over a united alliance to form the Commonwealth alongside the Galactic Federation in their most vulnerable state.

Trivia[]
- This page is based on the Terran Empire of Treasure Planet.
Notes[]
- instead of a mobile parliament like in Treasure Planet's game, parliament is located on Terra (more specifically the City of Londinium), the capital of the Terran Empire, along with the royal family and the Imperial Palace in turn.
- Treasure Planet is vague about much of the Terran Empire and what exist comes from a game from the early 2000s, as such creative liberties have been taking to flesh out the state a bit more for this version in the Malica Universe:
- One such example is the monarchs of the Empire itself, which were stated that most of the monarchs of the Empire had been women of some kind, leading to a unofficial Matrilineal succession, where the eldest daughter of the queen succeeds her but this is not a standing policy nor is it official as there exist numerous kings as well, just rarer.
- Instead of having only 1000 systems under its' control, this version has a expanded number of total systems, 10 thousand systems, however that's just under its' direct control, indirectly it controls far more via a complex web of dominions, vassals, protectorates, and other semi-independent entities.
- For almost its' entire history, the Terran Empire used the Before and After Formation of the Empire calendar which uses the creation of the Empire as its major dating point, something it shares with the UGF as it too dates its' calendar based around its' creation.
