The Storyteller

"Every story that is told comes from some form of truth, some come from dreams, inspiration, or a memory. I find the creative minds of intelligent creatures quite interesting and share stories with one another. There may in fact be worlds you are quite familiar with and in fact real."

-The Storyteller to John Crichton upon first encounter.

The Storyteller, also dubbed the Narrator, the Bringer of Stories, and It Who Speaks of Wonderous Tales, is the Entity of Legends, Myths, and Chronicles. Much like The Recordkeeper who records the writing and history, the Storyteller travels throughout the multiverse to share stories and tales with those who wish to hear them. The Storyteller would take the forms of a traveling hermit, a monk, or an ordinary-looking person in a remote place such as a campfire to share its stories to inspire others.

History[]

The Storyteller first manifested untold supereons upon supereons ago alongside many of its fellow entities during their 'birth' in the time of a incredibly violent and destructive event that brought the annihilation of whatever species and civilizations that could have made them, referred to as the Kaz'seiyan, a word from a long forgotten language that meant "Those who came before" as only a few entities like the Storyteller, the The Record Keeper, the The Scholar, and the The Timekeeper who knew they existed and vaguely aware of the events these bygone civilization and species did to give "birth" to them.

The Storyteller first met a Human named John Crichton from the Fuii'zuni Universe and revealed the existence of the Known Multiverse by taking in forms he was familiar with from Earth by taking the forms of The Terminator, Stan Lee, and Steven Spielberg to surprise him and shared some insight the shows and movies he knows exist in other universes when his reality was dragged into the First Multiverse War after the Empire of the Combine Race invaded. It sensed the disruption of the many universes who are counterparts of the original verses been altered and diverged, the Storyteller’s herald and its cult have been given tasks to observe the originals from being affected, or observe individuals that play large roles to pass on to the future generations to pass on the stories and legends such as Alpha Zol Earth.

The common form the Storyteller often takes is the appearance of a spirit in white robes with the ‘face’ silver and blank, carries with it a lantern and a cane , giving the appearance of a hermit. But is noted to take on various other forms of individuals.

Powers and Abilities[]

The Storyteller has infinite powers like all the Entities, change into various appearances, instant travel between worlds and realities. It’s main ability is to tap into the subconscious minds of potential creators of fiction, making what they thought to be work of their ideas be memories of previous events from other universes. The Storyteller could also enter the dreams to communicate.

  • Shapeshifting: The Storyteller can take on various forms that suits it, usually to hide its presence from others in plain sight.

Notes[]

  • Given the nature of the Storyteller's role, it could have visited several Earths to influence writers and artists of the supposed fictional worlds.
  • Regardless of which form the Entity takes to tell stories to people, it always has some kind of hood or similar face obstructing article of clothing, which abstract the gender of the form for those who interact with it, which fits the agendered nature of the majority of the Entities.
  • It can and has visited the dreams of creative individuals, like artists, writers, and poets, through the reasons for these visits vary considerably from person to person, and through these dreams, the Storyteller's uses it's true form to speak to them rather than the various forms it takes to tell its stories to anyone who would wise to listen.
  • One of a handful of entities that regularly interacts with non-entities, though it typically does so as a sort of traveling storyteller, perfectly happy to tell stories to beings that come across it, the most common of which being camped out on the side of the road where it will invite people to sit and then ask if they wish to hear a story or for them to tell it a story.
