A trio of TransRace humanoids of the TransRace Empire

TransRace is the term that is used to describe a loosely associated groups species of any transed individuals. These people are possibly by far the most despised group in the multiverse's history due largely to their heavy association with the hated Empire of the Combine Race, though with no choice on their part. In fact, the near entirety of the TransRace people were slaves of Combine Empire, forced to fight for it for years if not centuries worth of time. The only group that would serve the Combine government faithfully and without any combination of regret, rage, and pain are the second generation, the more extensively synthized TransRace, to which many across the Known Multiverse have come to characterize the First Generation, regardless of the clear differences between the two groups.

They are apart of a variety of organizations over the millennia but the most common being the Alliance of Nations, Axis of Empires, Multiversial Federation and the TransRace Empire.

History[]

Biology[]

"Let me put this simply... We're basically a bunch of cybernetic revenants..."

- A TransRace, specifically TransHuman, giving a basic overview of the TransRace peoples to newly discovered universe inhabitants in the First Aftermath Era.

Biologically speaking, the TransRace are not a separate species from their origin species. In fact, their DNA is the same as it was when they were a non-Transed being. A TransHuman is still a Human, a TransTurian is still a Turian, a TransVulcan is still a Vulcan, a TransTwi'lek is still a Twi'lek and so on. What makes them different is a combination of their extensive cybernetics put into them and the almost universality of a TransRace individual being resurrected from the dead. The process of effectively resurrecting the dead is immensely complicated and complex, as the TransRace themselves didn't fully understand the process until 2659, nearly three centuries after the fall of the Combine Empire in 2372. As such much of the knowledge to create more TransRace was largely in the hands of the Kilominitics and Combine-born Edanians, specifically those that had work in the Combine's facilities made to create more TransRace, along with the rest of the Combine's Synth program. Even now, only specialists have any grasp of the science behind the process that creates the TransRace, and even then its' still a difficult science to understand with mysteries still left to be discovered.

By the time of the TransRace Empire was created, new generations of advance TransRace with more techno-organic emerged for military forces to face off stronger enemies, often those who achieved success and earn new upgrades and powers by rank, notably those that belong to the Empire's Imperial Guard.

Trivia[]

  • While they're still the same species, technically speaking, they still regarded as a separate group from their non-Transed cousins, who often makes it clear to them in their interactions with the TransRace, so, as a result, the TransRace as a whole view each other as apart of the same community, regardless of their origin species, as they can't rejoin it as their old communities ensure they can't due to either trauma endured as a result of Combine horrors and atrocities or simple bigotries.
  • A sure fire way to tell a Combine-created TransRace and a Republics/Athirat-created TransRace is the string of number tattoos on a TranRace's right upper arm, specifically in the area where the arm meets the shoulder or equivalent, with the Combine-created TransRace having them while Republics and or Athirat-created TransRace don't.
  • When the Combines created TransRace individuals they regarded them as nothing more then tools to be used in their wars, but the Combine government and military still needed a way to identify the soldiers for specific task and the like so, taking a page from their treatment of Non-Transed slaves, they would mark the TransRace via a string of numbers on their right upper arm to be used to indentify that particular TransRace soldier. As for the general rule for these tattoos, they typically arrange as ECR Dash Letter Dash Numbers, starting with A and going up until it reach Octillion then changed over into the next letter and repeated from there.
  • Given the often corpse-colored look the TransRace individuals have, most notably their dead-looking eyes, TransRace individuals have typically wear sunglasses to cover up their eyes for convinces for other non-Trans people, although in private and on majority TransRace worlds they typically forgo them.
  • Much of what exactly the Combines did to the TransRace, be they first gen or second gen, is a mystery to the majority of the known multiverse, but whatever they did includes the ability to breath in environments that their non-transed cousins would have a hard time or even could breath, various TransRace characters mentioning that their stomachs were removed with replace with more effective versions, same for the liver, as TransRace can drink outright poison and not have any ill effects but also can't technically get drunk but the TransRace had figured out a way to get around this by purposefully poisoning their drinks to get their effective liver to focus on flittering the poison out then the alcohol, Bash hints at modifications to the brain as he briefly mention that TransRace technically don't need to sleep as much as their non-transed cousins with them being able to remain active and alert for three weeks before they need to sleep but most, including himself, made themselves sleep around the same time as their non-transed kin. These are just one of many hinted modifications done to First-gens and Second-gens are even more extensively modified since their helmet functions as their new skull.
