The Twelve Colonies of Kobol are twelve distinct worlds, located in a remote part of Biu'liniu Galaxy. For 2,000 years they were home to the descendants of humans participating in the exodus of Kobol.[1] For most of the two millennia that these worlds were inhabited, the Twelve Colonies consisted of multiple sovereign states.
