The Tzenkethi are a spacefaring race from Duyi'zu Milky Way galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. Their government was the Tzenkethi Coalition. The Tzenkethi clashed with both the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire during most of the Beta Quadrant War. After suffering heavy losses, Tzenkethi withdrew to their home sector and remained silent for the better part of the 24th century. In 2410 (1557 NE), after years of isolation, the Tzenkethi Coalition started preparing for a new war for seemingly no reason. The true target of their attacks have been revealed as insects called Drantzuli, which serve as wardens of the Klingon's only conquerors, the Hur'q.
Biology and Appearance[]
Tzenkethi are a reptilian-like species with dragon-like heads, thick skin compared to a rhino according to some humans who fought them and four arms - two strong ones for fighting and two weak ones for nimble, precise handling. Their backs have a set of bony plaques, giving these already powerful creatures one less weak spot. Fully armored, each individual Tzenkethi resembles a walking weapons platform.
History[]
Hur'q threat[]
In 2410 (1567 NE), the Tzenkethi went on a genocidal campaign throughout the Alpha Quadrant, using their protomatter-based technology to wipe out entire planets in order to prevent the Hur'q from re-awakening. They were manipulated into doing this by the Female Changeling, who assumed the identity of Tzenkethi Admiral Aarn Tzen-Tarrak.
Culture and Society[]
Tzenkethi have two names with members of the nobility having the word "Tzen" attached to their surname.

After an KCA and the Empire of the Combine Race attack on Terran Rebellion bases in the Badlands, Akellen Macet reported to Intendant Kira Nerys that other insurgents were withdrawing towards Tzenkethi space. Intendant Kira doubted that the Terrans would be welcome there.
In January 2377 (1524 NE) in the Nuy'izu Universe, Miles O'Brien, the leader of the Terran Rebellion, sent General Michael Eddington to negotiate with the Nuyi'zu version's of the Tzenkethi Coalition in an attempt to create a pact against the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance and the Axis of Empires. However, Eddington was only allowed to meet with the Mizarian representatives who were acting on behalf of the representatives of the Autarch.
Although Nuyi'zu Tzenkethi with strained relations with the KCA may have been tempted with the arrival of the Alliance supporting the Rebellion, but were unwilling to take action in fear of the Combine turning against them. Smiley believed that this decision was short-sighted as the Combine and the KSA were bound to attack the Tzenkethi sooner or later. But after the Alliance helped proved them to change sides.
