The War in the Beta Quadrant otherwise known as the Beta Quadrant War, the Great Duyi'zu Wilky Way Galactic War, and the Great Galactic War by the people of the Duyi'zu Milky Way, was a major universal battle in the Duyi'zu Universe between the Alliance of Nations and the Axis of Empires. The war was the first action in which the civilizations of the Duyi'zu Universe openly engaged with each other, as well as the first in which neither side's ships sighted or fired directly upon the other.
the war eventually spread from the Beta Quadrant and effectively become the Duyi'zu's Milky Ways' First Galactic War in 2268 Duyi'zu (1415 NE), with the Pro-Alliance United Federation of Planets on side and the Pro-Axis Klingon Empire, Gorn, Cardassian Union and Romulan Star Empire on the other. Eventually, the Coalition become involved with the Cardassian Union changing sides and the Dominion and eventually Breen Confederacy joining it, with the Borg Collective and the Tholian being completely independent in the war.
History[]
War Between the Federation and Klingon Empire[]
Combine Invasion[]
The Combine discovered this universe in 2267 Duyi'zu (1414 NE) using their probes to find out galaxy was protected by a Galactic barrier, the Combine had tried to find a potential weak point to break through, only to discover a dimension rift near the Halkan homeworld and were able to study the rift to send a fleet into the parallel version of this verse dubbed “Mirror Universe” where the Federation Starfleet Enterprise first encountered their alternate versions known as the Terran Empire. The Combine gained enough data to find a loop to send the available forces through the barrier for the next several months.
The year after their arrival, the Combine had by then discovered the weekend tears in the barrier in certain places in the galaxy and took advantage for the moment to strike an attack. Their first main focus on the campaign was the Beta Quadrant.
Alliance and Axis Military Aid[]

An Imperial Star Destroyer and the Federation ship first encounter
The Galactic Empire were the first to sent their forces through the dimensional gate after it was operational, several Star Destroyers sent to occupy the nearby planets including the Confederacy, having been informed of the native races rely only on Warp Travel to which is slower compared to their Hyperdrives, providing a greater advantage for the invasion.
Alliance Support[]
Jedi Masters Plo Koon, Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan Kenobi with the Republic Chancellor Bail Organa, alongside President Isaac Kleiner of the Human-Vortigaunt Federation in hopes of making a good relation to help arrived on their capital ship to approach this reality's version of Earth as the centre of their galactic community to establish relations and support against the Axis of Empires, they were able to meet face-to-face with president Kenneth Wescott of the United Federation of Planets and members of the council to explain of their origins and the threat that pose to their reality.
Romulan Star Empire joins the Axis[]
Upon the Axis' arrival for support, Count Dooku represented himself on behalf of the Confederacy of Independent Systems to establish first contact with the Romulans while learning of the Federation would not take their side, he spoke to the Imperial Senate for the chance to remain in power to one day over throw their enemies. The Advisors of the Combine Empire would give offer new means of technology and weapons such as travel to other worlds for membership of the Axis of Empires after demonstrating their power against the nearby rivals to gain their interest.
With the Klingon and the Romulan Empire seeing an opportunity to gain the advantage over the Federation with promises of trade in technologies and weapons more advance by the Combine, the Romulans officially accepted their offer of membership to the Axis
Expanding the War[]
Cardassian Rise of Power[]
By the event of the Cardassian Union recovering from their state of decline, the Galactic Empire made contact with them and supported their rise of militaristic ideology in an attempt to gain a new ally, offering them military resources and train alongside their soldiers to build a new military regime. The Cardassians expanded into the galaxy to obtain the natural resources they needed to sustain the population, colonized numerous worlds and in return had complete power over the people as a totalitarian military dictatorship. With the alliance between the Galactic Empire and Cardassian Union, they accepted to join the Axis for their support and in return for percentage of resources, the military occupied additional nearby planets and subjugated their native people to work as forced laborers.

The Cardassian Union occupied Bajor in 1456 NE (2319) with the aide of the Axis for their resources. To ensure the Cardassian people continue to fight the war against the Federation and the Alliance, they arranged a mutual agreement with the Axis state members such as the Galactic Empire and the Combine to oversee the process of the subjugated natives to work as force labourers. Unaware to the Axis, a faction made contact with the Bajoran people in their years of struggle to show them how to combat and use warefare tactics to drive off the invaders in secret.
Khitomer Massacre[]
In the year 1492 NE (2346) A Klingon named Ja'rod of the House of Duras was a bitter rival of the House of Mogh collaborated with the Romulans to turn his enemies into outcast among the Klingon Empire and requested a few Separatist Droids known as Infiltrators be delivered in secret to the Klingon colony world Khitomer and transmit the codes to the Romulans to lower the deflector shields while the droids blow up the towers as an act of sabotage, launching an all out attack that led to over 4,000, including Mogh, however, jarred was also killed in the massacre, but his plan worked to make the House of Mogh take the fall. Among those to survive was Worf and khalest when he was a child. An unexpected turn of event occurred in when the Romulans launched an attack on the Klingon, initiated a massive orbital bombardment resulting in wide scale destruction of the population center and 78% estimated casualties.
This event would be known as the Khitmoer massacre, an unexpected cause by the Romulans as they and the Klingons were supposed to be allies for this act. The Federation starship USS Intrepid was the first to respond to the colony's distress signal. The ship also detected encoded Romulan tactical transmissions, but did not actually find the ships on arrival. They only found Worf and Kahlest and took the survivors to Starbase 24 to recover. even the Axis members (excluding the Combine) were astounded of this time and wanted answers when explained that Doras' actions were to frame Mogh who were revealed to conspire against the alliance with the Axis but had caused great rifts between the two when they captured several survivors as hostages, but kept them on a secluded world from shaming their honor and ordered a group of Romulans to watch over them in secret.
Liberation of Bajor[]

With forces of the Cardassian Union heavily engaged on different fronts, only a token garrison was stationed on Bajor and Imperia Nolus. Bajoran Freedom fighters and First Gen TransRace Combine Rebel forces rise up in mass and defeated the Cardassian and Imperial Forces until a fleet of the Alliance arrived to catch the, off guard and taken most of the outposts, including Imperia Nolus, renamed Deep Space 9. The Bajorans quickly petitioned both the United Federation of Planets and Alliance of Nations for assistance, offering up Imperia Nolus as an alliance base. The Federation dispatched Commander Benjamin Sisko to lead the majority of the Federation and Alliance force to secure the star system.
Shortly after Federation forces arrived and began rebuild the station, the Bajoran Wormhole is discovered and newly renamed Deep Space 9 is moved to defend it, as now Bajor and the Bajoran Wormhole are thrust onto the centre of the interstellar stage as it gives a direct path to the Gamma Quadrant.
First Battle of Bajor[]

The discovery of the Bajoran Wormhole prompted the Cardassian Union to launch a desperate attack to reclaim the Bajor System, in an effort to claim the wormhole for themselves. Sisko ordered the DS9 station to use the thrusters to move close to the wormhole while the Alliance blocks the Cardassian fleet to stall time. Ending in the Federation to claim it for access of exploration and research.
The Dominion[]
While earlier encounters between the Alliance and the Dominion have occurred during the first decades in the mid-14th Century until official contact was established.
Federation Reinforces DS9[]
1518 N.E. - The United Federation of Planets bolster the defences around Deep Space Nine, including deploying the USS Defiant to the region under the command of Captain Benjamin Sisko.
Axis Engage the Dominion[]
The Axis of Empires, considered the the Dominion a threat when they reused to join forces and for their Founders capable of taking on any form to turn the Axis members against each other, either as a independent power or potential ally to the Alliance of Nations. Elements of the Tal'shiar and Obsidian Order manage to by pass Federation forces at Bajor and enter the Bajoran Wormhole. They then launch and attack on the homeworld of the Founders, leaders of the Dominion, in an effort to severe the chain of command and neutralize the Dominion. However, the Dominion is made aware of this attempt and launches a counter attack against the Axis of Empires forces, this becomes the Battle of the Omarion Nebula.
Cardassia Leaves the Axis[]
1519 N.E. - The severe weakening of the Obsidian Order and significant military loses, Cardassia Prime sees the overthrow of its military dictatorship in favor of a democratic one. The Cardassian Union then withdrawals from the Axis of Empires and enters a white peace with the United Federation of Planets. This sends shockwave through the Beta Quadrant and allowed the Cadarssians to be protected by the Alliance.

The Dominion sending massive fleets through the Bajoran Wormhole to fortify Cardassian Space. Axis forces are ejected from Cardassian space. With the potential of a major incursion at the Bajoran Wormhole, the United Federation of Planets deploy a minefield to block the wormhole from Non-Federation travel. Coalition demands its immediate removal. The Alliance refuses.

Combine Assault of Duyi'zi Milky Way[]
Main article: Combine Invasion of Duyi'zi Milky Way |
Just as the war was finally starting to die down again, especially in light of the cease-fire between Alliance members like the Federation and Coalition members, notably the Breen and Dominion, and the defection of the Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, and other formerly Axis aligned groups, the conflict entered its' most infamous and bloody stage. In the months following the withdrawal of Dominion and Breen forces from allied controlled space and the signing of the Bajor ceasefire, Combine forces under commands of High Admiral Kaziikol Sizkivic, Admiral Zeeikuul Fieekila, General Vieek Neikal, and High General Ennika Fil Kovaluik began their invasion of the Duyi'zi Milky Way Galaxy, invading not just the Alpha and Beta Quadrants but also the Gamma and Delta Quadrants as well. The initial invasion was a surprise to all, and in the first months of the Invasion, Combine forces swiftly began to conquer dozens of worlds, and in some cases entire civilizations. But soon enough Allied forces quickly responded and countered attacked, while at the same time building up defenses against the advancing Combine force. But even then, the war only gotten bloodier as the Combines just shown the Duyi'zi Milky Way the same ruthlessness, brutality, and blatant disregard for life that they have repeatedly shown outside of the Duyi'zi Universe, turning any battlefield into bloodied, corpse-filled hells that haunts the dreams of all Duyi'zi Milky Way sentient species, throwing outright cities worth of soldiers at any position that it shocked all, and the atrocities committed by Combines were horrified to behold, regardless of the species.

Impact[]
- Because the Axis and Alliance discover and become involved in this setting, rather then periods of peace that dominants much of this settings lore, its' instead just been a continuous state of open war, although there are periods of temporary truces that's only signed to give the factions involved time to rebuild some strength and began fighting again, so, predictably, the Federation is a good deal more militarized then it is in canon, even if its' not readily apparent.
- The war began to turn in the Alliance favor during the Dominion War, and funnily enough the Dominion's involvement ensured the defection of the Axis's Duyi'zu members, if they didn't invade, the conflict could either continue on for centuries more or even result in the Axis winning the war completely, so in a way, the Alliance had to thank the Dominion for their role in securing most of the Duyi'zu Milky Way Galaxy, albeit in a heavily sarcastic manner.
- The most brutal and devastating part of the war is without a doubt the Combines' invasion of the Milky Way, making a bloody path across much of that galaxy and lead to the Borg being forced into exile from the Milky Way (and in turn caused them to become one of the more desperate fourth party faction involved in the way), severely weakening the Dominion, and damn near conquered the Alpha and Beta Quadrants and fully conquered the Delta Quadrant. Even as the Alliance turned the invasion against the Combines, they made sure all their assaults, as well the Alliance's counter assaults were as bloody as possible, turning large swaths of the galaxy wartorn as a result. By the time the Combines were finally forced out entirely, the Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, and Cardassian Union were on the verge of total collapse, the Federation was almost devastated, but held together and much of the galaxy effectively under Federation control to form a new found coalition, even reach into the Gamma Quadrant much to the Dominions' terror. Given the fact that the Federation was one of the only states (aside from the Breen, surprisingly enough, and the Dominion) that weren't on the verge of collapse, as well as the wider Alliance effectively pressuring them, the Federation made their unofficial control over the majority of the Duyi'zu Milky Way official, with the signing of the peace accord that finally ended the War, with had the states of the Beta, Alpha, Delta, and Gamma Quadrants, aside from the Breen and Dominion, annexed by the Federation, much to the begrudging agreement of all parties involved, even the Federation, but the Alliance finally put an end to one front in the Great War.
- Although it did effectively ended the war that's been going on in the Duyi'zu Milky Way, it result was, in part, a reason that played a role in the eventual civil wars within the former Klingon and Romulan Space betwen Pro-Federation and Alliance Klingons and Romulans and Pro-Axis and Supremacist Klingons and Romulans.
