The Worlds War, also known as the Terran-Federation War, the Nova Chrysalian War, and the First Malican War post-Contact, was a conflict that occurred in the Malica Universe and lasted from 79 to 85 AXC (1339 to 1345 NE) which was originally started and fought between the Terran Empire and the United Galactic Federation as a result of the Terran Empire attempted conquest of the planet Nova Chrysalia and the UGF intervened, ending the First Malican Cold War in turn.
While at first the conflict was contained to Nova Chrysalia but it quickly spiraled out from there, eventually spreading across the entire Malica Universe and equally grew in ferocity and brutality, yet both powers were equals in their military and economic efforts, with neither overcoming the other and slowly began to tear each other apart, increasingly destroying more and more worlds and causing the deaths or displacement of hundreds of billions of people.
Over the years since it began, the war took its' toll on both superpowers and in the process allowed for the creation of numerous warlords across much of Malica, which eventually were either wiped out or unified under the joint leadership of Maleficent and Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, and began a third faction in a already chaotic and destructive war. By the final year, the two battered and broken Superpowers end their hostilities and joined forces to try and put a stop to the warlords that Maleficent and Ansem SOD leads, and slowly put a stop to the warlords advances. With half of the universe under their control the co-leaders agreed to a peace agreement between with the superpowers, signing the Treaty of Twilight City in 85 AXC (1345 NE), ending the war after six bloody and brutal years.
As Maleficent and Ansem SOD consolidated their holdings and declared the creation of the Empire of the Heartless, with both declared co-monarchs of the empire, the Terran Empire and United Galactic Federation were both in a state of ruin and near collapse, with what planets and systems they still control often in ruins and overwhelmed by refugees from the start of the war and the resulting mass evacuations from the Heartless Empire's creation. And seeing the clear signs of both former superpowers state of near-collapse, and the rise of the Heartless Empire, multiple worlds and systems banded together to created a unified counterbalance against the Heartless Empire, the United Republics of Worlds. Within months of its' creation, both the Terran Empire and UGF formally dissolved and joined the new Union, which in turn led to the unification of the other half of the Malica Universe not under Heartless Imperial control, leading to the Second Malican Cold War between the two new superpowers and a tense peace that would last for the next 23 years.

- A combination of world war I and II, especially World War I's static frontlines and World War 2's level's of destruction, but it also has elements of the ongoing war in Ukraine, especially as both superpowers having similar levels of technology and in turn resulting in the two sides not making much advances while suffering heavy loses.
